This is one of the many "unplayable" repertoire out there. If your looking for something that can actually be played, then I'd suggest.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iZj-8x5i6Bs Or... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_9lpjov4kk&feature=related 'There's many like these two, just some examples. | 2011-04-28 02:22:00 Author: Maxi Posts: 1176 |

Well, if you must know, she's an extra boss battle in one of the game ,Touhou 6 - The Embodiment of Scarlet Devil. Trust me, she is hard to beat! I barely manage to stay alive until she wipes me out with lasers. By the way, you might like this. They made a MAD out of it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ssh71hePR8Q It's possibly the funniest (and creepiest) 'Roll out there! | 2011-04-28 02:27:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |
Apparently it takes the equivalent energy of shovelling three tons of coal just to move the keys in Rachmaninov's Third Concerto. Who said piano players were weedy nerds? | 2011-04-28 11:35:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
Actually the first vid in the OP is an epic fail. I stopped the first vid when I saw this. http://img852.imageshack.us/img852/1677/pianon.jpg The highlighted frets are the ones played at the same time. This shows a position that human articulation can achieve in no way. No way you can open your hand to catch 3 D. I (but everyone with minimum music knowledge) can write something even harder to be played by a piano roll or a midi. Hardest thing should be something playable in reality by one highly skilled human. If you put 2 people to play that stuff, it becomes totally ordinary. | 2011-04-28 12:17:00 Author: OmegaSlayer Posts: 5112 |

This is actually utterly do-able by using your left hand, right foot, left foot, right hand, and by hitting your head against the keys You can also use your tongue if you have trouble getting by. | 2011-04-28 12:41:00 Author: Oddmania Posts: 1305 |
Actually Bach wrote many peices that were considered "unplayable" during his life-time - that subsequent generations of more talented musicians playing on better made equipment allowed them to play the unplayable. We are consistenly pushing the boundaries of "what is possible" ; But agreed - any piece that requires you to grow an extra arm shouldn't count | 2011-04-28 13:05:00 Author: Macnme Posts: 1970 |
Really, either way you slice it, if you have more than one person on the piece of course it's gonna get easier; more hands make lighter work. So in your theory, there cannot be a world's hardest piano song at all then... because any piano song can be played by two people at the same time, whether intended or not (even something as simple as "Chopsticks" or "Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star" could be played with two people at the keys). However, as much as you'll protest to this song due to the placement of the keys, I've seen people do this solo before. It's from the same game that "U.N. Owen Was Her?" came from (Mountain of Faith), and it's called (coincidentally) "Native Faith". The proper way that it's played is twice all the way through. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvqJeps2_yk&feature=feedf | 2011-04-28 14:29:00 Author: Outlaw-Jack Posts: 5757 |

Ya know, someone actually recreated that Circus Galop song with the music sequencer in LBP2? | 2011-04-28 15:02:00 Author: comishguy67 Posts: 849 |
Whoa guys! I see you don'y understand somethng here: that was Synthesia. I used if before, and it's like LBP2's music sequencer. You don't necessarily play the whole song yourself in one run! But if you want proof of a hard song being played (especially one from Touhou), then watch this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itClDyhsxZo it's one of my favorite songs in the game, and the guy playing it demonstrates the difficulty of it as well. EDIT: On the subject of Synthesia, listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-CQ0I7S19jw It's now my new favorite Synthesia piece! | 2011-04-28 22:29:00 Author: CyberSora Posts: 5551 |

The songs in the OP are most likely physically impossible to play. I think the real hardest song thats actually possibly to play is flight of the bumblebee. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h6A-JYbu1Os | 2011-04-29 04:24:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
