No music in pod
Archive: 24 posts
ok, so i just got a PS3 and OBVIOUSLY my first purchase was LBP2! there is an option to 'turn on music in the pod'. i have it turned on but there is no music and i could have sworn there was a really nice ambienty (no such word. just made it up) tune | 2011-04-27 16:36:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
Strange, do you hear other sounds in you pod? Can you listen to music from your hard drive in you pod? | 2011-04-27 17:18:00 Author: CYMBOL Posts: 1230 |
Are you using the controller(pod computer)? I think you have to for music to play. | 2011-04-27 17:19:00 Author: OneEyedBanshee Posts: 1370 |

I think you have to for music to play. i'm using the pod that you access both the game and the create moon. there is an option to 'play music in pod' but it's still not playing the ambient music. do i have to find it in the game? | 2011-04-27 17:39:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

music only plays whilst using the computer! i don't get what you mean? treat me as a fool and explain it simply edit: do you mean i only get the music when i'm online? | 2011-04-27 17:43:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
music only plays whilst using the computer! Read the other posts in this thread and you'll see that has already been mentioned and cliffbo has confirmed he is using the pod computer. Can you hear any sound at all? Or is it all muted? If there's no sound at all try quitting the game and loading it back up. The sound tends to be funny like that and disappear in LBP2. If this doesn't fix it, it sounds like a new bug and you should report it on Get Satisfaction (http://getsatisfaction.com/littlebigplanet). | 2011-04-27 17:52:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |

i believe i have some sort of sound... a gentle breeze if i recall (this isn't my computer and i only got LBP2 yesterday) but there isn't any music. I realise that the network shutting down usually has nothing to do with this kind of stuff but there has been reports of all kinds of activity even offline. Things are not functioning right. Also I'd wait anyway so you can update you game. Unless of course maybe you can do it from a flash drive. Not sure. Wait a few and see if the problem persists. Not sure what your doing wrong. Here's the steps to playing music in your pod. 1. Rip a cd or copy songs from a flash drive onto your ps3 2. Open up little big planet 3. While in the pod press start and go to the music tab 4.once you open the music tab you will see a traditional play stop rewind etc. 5. Click play. It will then bring you to your music list on you ps3, select a song then back out. Note: I don't think you can play music while in story Mode. Only in create and in pod. | 2011-04-28 03:12:00 Author: METALPUNKS Posts: 306 |
Ok, since there's a fog of misunderstanding here in this thread, i'm going to list several suggestions that should help and fix your issue with sounds and music in your pod. First of all, if you mean when your in your pod with the controller, here's the suggestions below. -If you can hear sounds such as wind, air or anything, you know it's not your TV. If not, it's safe just to unplug both ends of your HDMI cable or whatever cable you are using then replug them, if this fixes it, it's just a loose cable. -Turn up your TV quite loud, loud enough for when you hop on the controller and cycle the menu's you can hear the noises of changing the menus. If you hear the sounds then skip down to the CONTINUED section. If not, read on. Since your not hearing the sounds from the menus changing or cycling, it's either a loose cable as mentioned above, the PS3 glitching out or something wrong with the game. I first reccomend restarting the PS3, taking the disc out and giving it a quick clean with a smooth cloth from the centre outwards in a non-circular motion. Then check the cables once more and reboot the PS3, still no sounds or fixes? -Try another game. If other games give out sound, it's your copy of LBP2 in which case return it for another copy. CONTINUED- - Since your hearing sounds from your menu's cycling then it's not the game as far as I can tell. If you go to the section where you can enable the music, disable both of them then reboot LBP2. Then enable and once more reboot LBP2. If this works then it's just the game messing up. If not, read on for suggestions. -If you've got music from your hardrive on, go to the menus in LBP2 and to the music section. Down there, make sure if you have any music selected, it's cancled, not paused. Sometimes when music is paused is still counts as playing and cancels out other music in game, such as playing a level. Still no luck? Then some suggestions above may be correct. Perhaps you do need to be on the controller to hear music, it's been so long since i've played LBP2 without my own music that I couldn't say. It may be worth asking friends who own LBP2 to check if there's is the same or different, if different, return the game for another copy. I can't think of anything else than that so I hope this helped you and I hope you get the issue fixed ASAP. Hope this helped, RC | 2011-04-28 15:34:00 Author: Unknown User |

You can access music from anywhere, just press start and the music tab is right in front of you. Story mode and I think community games are the only place you can't here music. Also if you are having problems with your sound in all ps3 games then go to your sound settings within the xmb and see if everything is set up correctly. | 2011-04-28 18:20:00 Author: METALPUNKS Posts: 306 |
Oh, if you mean you wish to play music from your hardrive or USB or something, then you simply need to go to settings then find the music tab, and choose the music you wish to play. Though i'm sure his/her issue is with not being able to hear the pod music. Oh, i went on LBP2 btw, and i too didn't have pod music, which i'm thinking either it's because were offline or just because there isn't any.. I havn't paid too much attention to the music so i don't care too much, but i'm sure there isn't any. | 2011-04-28 18:51:00 Author: Unknown User |
thanks everyone. i wasn't intending to play my own music, i thought i saw a video with nice ambient music in it whilst in the pod (awaiting selection for either play or create). there is a nice ambienty type music when you go to the story level moons. am i confused here? is there just a breeze sound when decorating your pod? | 2011-04-28 19:18:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
For me, yes. The pod is silent and the breeze is the only sound. On the controller this is some sounds/music, so perhaps there is no error, perhaps there is just no music. Though I suggest listening to your own music otherwise it can get pretty boring whilst continously building for hours and so on. | 2011-04-28 19:27:00 Author: Unknown User |

There is, because my parents always comment on how it sounds like Space Mountain... | 2011-04-28 19:47:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
hm, well perhaps it's an online feature? | 2011-04-28 19:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
There is, because my parents always comment on how it sounds like Space Mountain... is that when you are in the selection part to play the story levels or when you are running around in your pod? | 2011-04-28 19:58:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |
When I'm at my POD Computer, however, when I'm just fooling around, there's no music... | 2011-04-28 20:03:00 Author: Super_Clone Posts: 849 |
When I'm at my POD Computer, however, when I'm just fooling around, there's no music... ok, so i'll check that out later. thanks. | 2011-04-28 20:15:00 Author: GribbleGrunger Posts: 3910 |

There is music. It should sound like below. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13tX0iZDuAQ&feature=player_detailpage http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=13tX0iZDuAQ&feature=player_detailpage Very early beta footage but the music hasn't changed. It should still sound like that now. Does it sound anything like that with you? | 2011-04-28 22:08:00 Author: Doopz Posts: 5592 |
Ye, see it's the same for everyone. There is no music in the pod whilst NOT on the controller, it's silent with a breese. You can run around in pod, no msuic. When you go on controller, the music starts. And for those saying about music from hardrive, that's not the problem. The problem can be explained in one sentence which is in this comment. Hope this helps, RC | 2011-04-28 23:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
