Input Battery Tool

Pretty much what the title says. It's the Battery logic, capable of Input settings such as On/Off or Scales.2011-04-27 04:48:00

...we already have that. xD

(unless I'm misunedrstanding something and you meant something else like what we already have?)

You can just slap the battery down in a microchip and use the microchip's active input to turn it on/off. Very simple.2011-04-27 05:05:00

I think he wants a resistor/amplifier- Where an output strength for a button or something is always a 100+ positive, he wants to make it so its only 50% positive or something similar. As a sackbotics engineer that sort of thing would be unquestionably helpful. However, I have figured out a way to jury-rig such a system.

Put the battery on a microchip with whatever strength you want on the battery, then hook the battery to whatever you want it to activate or influence. Then hook whatever it is you want to activate the battery to the "activate" input on the microchip. While the microchip is off, the battery is off, but once the microchip is on you will get the battery with its desired strength turning on. Hope that helps!

Edit: AAARRRGHH, friggin sniper!

/facepalm
There are many ways to do this already.
Some of them have already been stated and a few more (unless i don't fully understand the statement) are:
- timers w/ outputs set to scale
- counters (same as timers)
- (upon desired effects) Randomizers w/ timer set to directional
- Sequencers w/ extra logic settings
-etc

Hmm... There is no need for the "/facepalm" comment I reckon, but as LittleBigDude and Ion Pulsar said, you can effectively turn off a Battery by placing it inside a Microchip, and this actually goes for any logic

If you are new to LBP2 Logic it might not seem obvious, but the abillity to turn off any kind of signal at will is immensely useful! A good examples of this could be the Controlinator Output Signals for one or more buttons during a crucial sequence in your level

I think I get your veiw on it. I think what Mm should have done is turn the battery into a signal changer with an input, so you can set the signal strengt rather than just placing it inside a microchip like we do today... so if a button activates a light you could filter the wire to the light through a signal changer, set to maybe 20% so the light is dim. It would make creating a bit more easier and less hassley.2011-04-27 11:23:00
