Call of Duty : Black Ops - Escalation DLC

The second DLC for Black Ops. Called Escalation.

Comes with 4 new maps.

Hotel
Convoy
Zoo
Stockpile

And comes with 1 new zombie map titled.

Call of the Dead.

The multiplayer maps aren't that interesting, here is a preview of the maps, however...

The zombie map, however, looks absolutely amazing. Pretty funny too, can't wait.

Unfortunately, I will probably be only getting this for the zombie map, if anything.

Yes, as you said, the multiplayer maps look like they live up to the COD standard of map making, while the zombie map actually seems really interesting. I can tell this one will probably get more sales than the last just cause of the playable girl. Hah.2011-04-27 03:18:00

Plus the girl joke, very hilarious.

Im always in to COD.
Always presents a challenge and extreme anger issues.
Just the game I like. (LOL)

meh, I haven't really been into CoD since they made MW2...

Looking for what I posted on Battlefield forums about this To be honest, I don't care for CoD any more. The campaign got too easy and the MP is same thing, over and over. I even think BOs zombies was a fail, compared to WaWs

Like everyone else here, i'll be getting this solely for zombies, like all of the other Black ops and WaW DLC, I can take or leave the MP maps. I sure do hope that I can get those dual machetes, that would make my day, and a pitchfork for that matter.2011-04-27 14:10:00

Thanks, but this just depresses me more. Im watching a game that i can not play online for god knows how long.

Anyways, the Zombie map looks fun but Zoo is almost a carbon copy of MW2s Carnival.

I noticed the reviewers kept talking about "good sniper spots" in the maps, which translates to "good camping spots" 		2011-04-27 18:22:00

Call of the Dead is THE BEST MAP EVARRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously. This is the best DLC map IMO. So many perks, such a huge map, so many guns. And the new special gun is the VR-11 (The Human Maker). It turns zombies into humans that run around and get attacked by zombies. It's hilarious.

Also, there is a huge easter hug much like the one in Ascension. There is a door inside one of the buildings and inside the room are the four original characters. They are trapped, ask for your help, and give you hints on what they need. They're also pretty funny.		2011-05-04 20:02:00

I love it, been a fan of A7X for a long time now and can't get enough of this new track. I haven't bought the maps yet, I think I will get it on the PS3 instead of the Xbox, but either way hoping A7X do more work for other map packs.		2011-05-04 21:51:00

So much like the hidden easter egg in Ascension, were you obtain a death machine for 90 seconds or so. This map is like that. Instead however, Richtofen (sp?) creates you a wunderwaffe and you are able to use that for 90 seconds. You also here them enter a portal in the room, possibly stating that there will be another map coming out for Black Ops (Kind of obvious I guess).

The only two "special" weapons you can obtain are the Ray Gun and the VR-11. I'm exluding the Wunderwaffe as it's only temporary. You can get the dolls but not the Gersch device.

So no thundergun, or winters howl. But the water in the map can kill you if you stay in it for too long, and when a zombie goes in it and you shoot them they shatter in ice form.		2011-05-04 22:13:00

No I saw someone with a different special weapon, it looked like an assault rifle, but slowed time and made a big explosion, The Scavenger is what the guy called it. Also, the VR-11 is really helpful in calming Romero down when he's tripping out.

Don't really like the map yet, but that's cuz I just started, and no one knows what they're doing, but I think when everyone gets good at this zombie map it will be great, and by good i mean people who won't shoot Romero all the time.		2011-05-04 22:44:00

Oh yeah, forgot about that. It's not really a special weapon though. Just a mix between a sniper and the crossbow. It's a sniper that shoots explosive bullets, much like the crossbow's explosive tips. It sucks IMO. Only reason I'd use it is to get the achievement for it.

When it's PaP'd, it's name changes to Hyenna Infra-dead. I like it. 		2011-05-05 00:49:00
