Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Project

Archive: 14 posts

Hi.
I have started to make the ENTIRE Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess on LBP2 which means without a doubt this will take a long time. I have started the bit where Rusl comes to Link's house and have finished the set where I will make the scene where Rusl talks to Link at the very start of the game. I am also planning on making the opening screen and the logo for the Seal.
If anyone is willing to help generally (such as, making the Ordon village song or making the scenes and what-not), my PSN username is "Sackdude32".
I may also post questions on how to do certain things

I would be more than happy to except suggestions!

Sorry if it sounds little mean but.... Whats the point?
the real Twilight Princess was a great game, and if one wants to play it,
they should just go play the real one instead of a sack version of it. i could understand if you were just
going to make one spot in the story. but the whole game? To be honest. it'll never get done.
the game is long and detailed. it'd take a great big group team of 10 or more expert level creators to
even make it with in 2 years, and short cuts would still even at that point have to be taken when creating it all.
i think you should set your goals little... well more little? like maybe only recreate your fave spots from the game?
just look at everything little more realistic, lots of people never get whole remakes of a long game done.
for reasons that should be pretty easy to guess why.

Good on you Sackdude!

Don't give in to other peoples perceieved limitations. While fumetsusoz is right in the sence that this is a massive undertaking I think it is wrong to reply to peoples creative idea with a "What's the point" just because they don't agree wtih your idea.

I for one support your idea and wish you the best of luck!

While agree that you should do whatever it is you want to do, despite the magnitude of the project, the first guy was right. You can't recreate the entire game by yourself, or even in a group, anytime soon without skimping on quality, and like he said, there isn't really any point other than simply to pay homage to it. But I loved the game, and I would gladly play the recreation should you ever make it 2011-04-27 02:24:00

Perhaps a stage would be kinda cool, though i wouldnt see the point of making a bunch of stages of a game already made. Twilight Princess was a great game, some people would probably help. If not, i'd recommend making your own original Zelda game, perhaps then you would get a bigger team.2011-04-27 19:38:00

Seriously you should watch your limit. I'm not going to sugar coat it. It's a long. long. long. long. process. To build that game from LBP2 is almost nearly impossible. And there isn't really a point to this. Honoring the game shouldn't take that long. Imo a good idea would be to make a top down level that makes a LoZ: TP level 2D. It's a neat idea that shouldn't take too long.2011-04-28 03:49:00

Whats the deal with everyone and recreations!?
Why not make your own Zelda fan-fic?

i thought of making a Zelda Fan-fic called Majoras Moon and completely thought out an elaborate story in which Majora is actually a tribal witch of mischief.. this actually took place in an alternate reality in a desert of hyrule because Gannon drained the "Great Sea" from WW... and you had to go release Majora from this crazy prison and force her to move the (crashed moon) back into the sky.. she represented the "empty space" int the triforce (since Din, Nayru and Ferrore seem to represent the creation of the "land of Hyrule" I felt it was appropriate to say that Majora had to do with the moon since its not a part of the "planet".. yada yada. I don't want to go to in-depth about a project i scrapped...

Personally,i like the Gameboy Zeldas and the true dungeon exploring concept, this could easily be implemented into a full blown original game.. sorry if I'm sounding mean but i encourage you to make your own new story!

I do the recreation on LBP2 the same reason other people do it, for fun! Also, how do I make text appear at the bottom of the screen?2011-05-01 11:35:00

I never thought it was fun to play or make a crappier version of a story that already exists and everyone has played. "hey i got lbp2 what am I gonna make with this awesome new game!? Pacman! "Its just isnt creative when you have such a great chance to be also most zelda stories are lacking in story anyway and this is your opertunity to fill in the blanks. But whatever do what your going to do, just don't make it side scrolling! Unless maybe for cut scenes... but never gameplay. Also "display subtitles" setting on mouths put text on the bottom of the screen.2011-05-02 17:32:00

I didn't know how to do that sometime ago.
Unless it has changed, you have to place a magic mouth on a sequencer and set the subtitle option to yes/tick.
