Okay, I hardly see anybody on here talk about Airsoft and I doubt you will now, but maybe that's because nobody has tried to bring up the topic. Let's see if we can change that. ![]() Who here actually knows what Airsoft is? Who plays it? | 2011-04-26 04:55:00 Author: CyberSora ![]() Posts: 5551 |

Paintball > Airsoft OOOHHHHHH...BURN! Sorry, I am bored. Anyways...airsoft guns are sweet. I wanna buy one to shoot my old roommate who still owes me 500 dollars. But a paintball gun would work splendidly as well.... | 2011-04-26 06:18:00 Author: Spider-Jew ![]() Posts: 1090 |
Used to go in the woods when I was 19 to play Airsoft...used to do lots of things in the woods, like skirmishes and other crazy things. I found it excessively boring, especially because there's some people that is too obsessed with rule, people that believe to be Rambo, and very few that just want to have fun. | 2011-04-26 06:26:00 Author: OmegaSlayer ![]() Posts: 5112 |
The reason I like Paintballing more is because there are tons of places you can go every weekend for paintballing. They sell you gear, ammo, even paint grenades, snipers, smgs, shotguns, and they have different "maps" essentially. I know this one place here in California where once a month on Saturdays they have a Helicopter that brings the players into the map. It's so sick, costs a lot but it's awesome. | 2011-04-26 06:27:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino ![]() Posts: 5250 |

Ohhhh, it's so long since I have seen an airsoft gun D: probably not since fifth or sixth grade... Though, I would rather prefer paintball at the moment, I want to look like a piece of modern art C: Plus, a giant splat is a lot more satisfying on an opponent's armor than tiny, stingy bullets! ^^ | 2011-04-26 06:43:00 Author: moonwire ![]() Posts: 1627 |
Personally, I also prefer PB to airsoft... but I haven't actually played a full game to really make a fair statement. I have a few buddies who play and run a field, I just have to get off my butt and go play to find out if I'd like it as much. I have fired a few, and I do appreciate their accuracy (especially considering that I'm an excellent shot and make a great sniper). I will say one thing... we use airsoft guns in our films. PB guns will NEVER be that accurate looking to the real thing... or have the same amount of cool factor where looks are concerned. | 2011-04-26 06:50:00 Author: Rustbukkit ![]() Posts: 1737 |
I can't. ![]() They said I'm too big and I wouldn't fit on the helicopter. This saddens me immensely. | 2011-04-26 06:50:00 Author: Spider-Jew ![]() Posts: 1090 |
SOrry whaaaaale, but this is my baby: http://www.epicycle.org.uk/images/minigun2.jpg Yes. That is an airsoft minigun. I'll give you a moment to retrieve your jaw from the floor. the paintball minigun looks cooler...plus, aren't there paintball grenades? That is awesomeness right there. Plus, you can have a paintball gun and shoot it at a white wall and make a beautiful masterpiece. My eyes are getting all teary just thinking about the beautifulness that can be created with these high speed paints. | 2011-04-26 07:28:00 Author: Spider-Jew ![]() Posts: 1090 |

Dear: the Ion Pulsar When I am old and you are old and if we haven't found anyone to marry, would you agree to marry me? (this of course, is provided that you actually are a sackgirl as stated in your profile, and that you still have your M-134. Oh heck, screw it! Anyone who talks, debates, and tells it like it is the way you do, and totes one of these on the field is cool enough to marry when I'm 70... even if you ARE a dude!) ![]() This here footage is at least 4 years old, but is of an "actual" paintball gatling gun... not airsoft. Brief, but this person did have a longer video of it at one point. I'll see if I can dig that up too. http://youtu.be/OnRh-5IRG3A | 2011-04-26 08:08:00 Author: Rustbukkit ![]() Posts: 1737 |
I assure you my profile is accurate. Its not my fault I'm a tomboy, its genetic, I swear! Also, I will have my M-134 with me always, I need it if I'm going to GET TO DA CHOPPA whith whaaaale. As for marriage, well, not too interested in that yet. At 22 I dont think its a good idea to get married just yet, even if all the cool kids are doing it. And then having a baby. And getting divorced three months later. And hating their lives for the next eighteen years. | 2011-04-26 08:45:00 Author: the Ion Pulsar ![]() Posts: 172 |
You do both realize this is the same gun right? I thought so at first but it doesn't matter, she wanted to see a paintball minigun and I posted one. Most guns nowadays support both anyways. | 2011-04-26 08:47:00 Author: Whalio Cappuccino ![]() Posts: 5250 |
Suppose I could get my current one retooled to support both. Regardless, I dont have another $3500 to buy a second minigun, though, unless... No, it can't be done... Maybe if... Yeeeeessss... Dual-wielding miniguns. Heck, you could do it in Timesplitters. If you can do it in a video game, you MUST be able to do it in real life! | 2011-04-26 08:52:00 Author: the Ion Pulsar ![]() Posts: 172 |

Yeah, that seems to be the general reaction to the price... Imagine filling that thing with frozen paintballs. The prison sentence would be totally worth it. | 2011-04-26 09:14:00 Author: the Ion Pulsar ![]() Posts: 172 |

Well, I like Airsoft better because there's no gear to slow you down. Like I said before, I like the guerrilla style warfare than the strict "rules and safety armor" type. Besides, I think it depends on how you play it. I play it with 16-24 people, and we play either "normal" (one side attacks while the other defends a position), or Hostage (the other side tries to take back their hostage back first). And we play in a VERY large wooden area with riverbanks and our self-made trenches. So yeah, a paintball gun isn't necessarily going to hit as well as an Airsoft gun. | 2011-04-26 23:12:00 Author: CyberSora ![]() Posts: 5551 |

Again, you don't need a suit of metal armor to play paintball, just a mask, if that holds you back then I pity you lol. As for "strict" rules...uhm...you get shot, your out. It seems like your thinking of something completely different when you think of paint ball ![]() | 2011-04-26 23:25:00 Author: Littlebigdude805 ![]() Posts: 1924 |

It seems like your thinking of something completely different when you think of paint ball ![]() I agree with the bolded text, but as for accuracy, I think that's a bit biased. I owned paintball gun, and I played for a while. But then I got an airsoft gun and I sold the paintball gun because I liked Airsoft better. The paintball gun is only accurate when you have it on a high air pressure, while airsoft guns use either springs, batteries (electric guns), or CO2/green gas. I prefer the electrics and CO2 better, because they deliver more accuracy at a far better range than a paintball gun. Besides, only an idiot in airsoft won't call their hit when an entire team of players are shooting you with 450-500 FPS bbs. ![]() | 2011-04-26 23:40:00 Author: CyberSora ![]() Posts: 5551 |

I have played in both an airsoft war and paintball war, and I have to say that I love paintball much more. Airsoft is much cheaper and affordable, but paintball lasts longer memory wise, and is much more energetic and fun! | 2011-04-30 03:07:00 Author: theonlybub ![]() Posts: 690 |
