Tough to say, but looking at these two graphs - this from around LBP PSP launch (Nov 17th 2009)... http://chart.googleapis.com/chart?cht=bhs&chtt=PSP%20Level/Object%20Showcase%20threads%20per%20week|Nov%20200 9%20to%20April%202010&chs=400x750&chm=N,000000,0,,10&chxt=x,y&chds=0,30&chxr=0,0,30,5&chco=7F7FFF&chd=t:0,2,10,12,10,6,9,8,11,7,13,9,7,9,13,7,5,11,9 ,10,17,20,7&chxl=1:|Apr%2012th|Apr%205th|Mar%2029th|Mar%2022nd |Mar%2015th|Mar%208th|Mar%201st|Feb%2022nd|Feb%201 5th|Feb%208th|Feb%201st|Jan%2025th|Jan%2018th|Jan% 2011th|Jan%204th|Dec%2028th|Dec%2021st|Dec%2014th| Dec%207th|Nov%2030th|Nov%2023rd|Nov%2016th|Nov%209 th ...and this one from LBP2 launch... http://chart.googleapis.com/chart?cht=bhs&chtt=PSP%20Level/Object%20Showcase%20threads%20per%20week|Nov%20201 0%20to%20present&chs=400x750&chm=N,000000,0,,10&chxt=x,y&chds=0,30&chxr=0,0,30,5&chco=7F7FFF&chd=t:9,4,5,7,6,2,12,11,4,2,6,8,6,2,8,4,8,1,9,3,5, 1,2,1&chxl=1:|Apr%2011th|Apr%204th|Mar%2028th|Mar%2021st |Mar%2014th|Mar%207th|Feb%2028th|Feb%2021st|Feb%20 14th|Feb%207th|Jan%2031st|Jan%2024th|Jan%2017th|Ja n%2010th|Jan%203rd|Dec%2027th|Dec%2020th|Dec%2013t h|Dec%206th|Nov%2029th|Nov%2022nd|Nov%2015th|Nov%2 08th|Nov%201st ...the number of showcase posts is pretty marginal compared to the PS3. With the PSN down and no homework, I would most definitely be creating right now. But sadly, my PSP has a joystick malfunction ;_; | 2011-04-26 21:42:00 Author: anoken ![]() Posts: 1654 |
With the PSN down and no homework, I would most definitely be creating right now. But sadly, my PSP has a joystick malfunction ;_; I believe you can get a new one cheap online on Amazon.com for like $1.00 US dollar or something crazy. I think it'd be worth it or you could always go into a store or something I'm sure they'd fix it for you even if you don't have a warranty or anything. ![]() ![]() | 2011-04-26 22:09:00 Author: WoodburyRaider ![]() Posts: 1651 |

Nys reaction: http://smokinhotbooks.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/lolcat-happy.jpg WOOHOO !!! Do you see the number 1 on april the 11th ? Thats my log roll. I stole borrowed the concept from Blackwolfe. APRIL THE 11TH has MY level ![]() | 2011-04-27 13:22:00 Author: nysudyrgh ![]() Posts: 5482 |
Is Val still creating ? Nope. Sorry, joystick is glitchy. I just hover around the PSP community | 2011-04-27 21:40:00 Author: anoken ![]() Posts: 1654 |
Valmassoi says something about a broken joystick, and I don't quote because I haven't been paying attention to the number of posts per page. Yeah, I noticed your comment along those lines in the second Pat-a-Pon level, and was sad because the levels you'd made were fun. | 2011-04-27 22:20:00 Author: BlackWolfe ![]() Posts: 299 |
Haha, just wait a couple of months! ![]() Haha fail! Nys thanked this post even though Silverleon is implying that in a couple months the published level count will go lower. Either he misread it, or nys finally realized the PSP is done for... If he's smart, he'll pick the latter. | 2011-04-27 23:19:00 Author: Silver39 ![]() Posts: 1703 |

I've been debating on whether or not I should buy a psp, what do you think? your opinion on this matter? | 2011-04-28 00:16:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Lol I had to try that fading thing! | 2011-04-28 00:18:00 Author: Unknown User ![]() |
Lol I had to try that fading thing! Hehehe it's a pretty neat effect! (but a lotta effort) On the topic of whether or not you should get a PSP... it's really up to you, here's my opinion: 1. First off, it is your choice and you can do whatever you please. LBP on PSP 2. The PSP version of LBP can be summed up by best by what someone else said (can't remember who) and I quote, "LBP on PSP is like what LBP1 is to LBP2 on PS3, it's little brother." That being said, it is a little less glamorous with the graphics and everything, BUT the creating is just as good (some might say easier). 3. There are good things and bad things about LBP PSP. One good thing is that the create mode has several neat changes from LBP1 on PS3 since it was created after it such as Dynamic vs. Static Materials (basically replace the need for dark matter), and a much improved corner editor. A con about LBP on PSP is that it is late in its lifetime currently. It's been out for awhile, but it's still not at the stage yet where LBP1 is now, with LBP2 being out. The next version of LBP PSP more than likely will come late this fall with the release of the NGP (PSP2) and will be like LBP2 on PS3. One still huge advantage you have if you get the game now is that the bar has been set high for creators. While this will make things tougher for you getting started, it also means it'll be easier since we have all posted our tips and tricks and such in guides and even in level tutorials. In General 4. In my opinion, the PSP is great, and the only game I really play on it is LBP. I do have several other games but I feel like LBP is the best made PSP game out there in the sense that it's complete and really can't ever get old if you like creating. Lastly, the NGP is coming out soon, but if you really want it you should get a PSP because it'll last you until then and you can probably get one cheap (I have a 2000 and I hear it's one of the best versions ((out of 4 - The 1000, 2000, 3000, and Go versions)).) All in all, I'd recommend a PSP if you have the money to spare and because LBP truly is great on PSP and the creators are all nice and friendly (for the most part). It's also really easy to get well-known since the creator-base is small compared to the PS3 one. | 2011-04-28 01:15:00 Author: WoodburyRaider ![]() Posts: 1651 |

This is just the kind of challenge I thrive on. No cause is hopeless as long as there is still one fool left to fight it as old Will Turner once said. It seems there are still people who are upto the challenge of creating for the psp side which only helps to inspire me to do likewise. Boy:"How did you become a war hero?" John F. Kennedy:"It was totally involuntary. They sank my boat!" | 2011-04-28 17:50:00 Author: MrObycyek ![]() Posts: 50 |
