now available for playtesting: http://lbp.me/v/0ewd92 this is work in progress and there's a lot to do. the project does not have a name yet and if it works out I'll do some interconnected levels with the final engine. the player ship and projectiles use the player's color (my ship and weapons are yellow in the pics). i don't know about the enemys yet. if they aren't all made out of hologram material they'll collide with each other which looks kinda strange. have to find a solution or use hologram only... i'm thinking of parallax scrolling for the background and have been thinking of flying across planets just like in classic shooters like salamander, r-type or whatever you remember from 10-20 years ago. there's still a lot to do for me and the pictures are just a glimpse of what is coming. only thing I regret is, that I have to work within the limits of the PS3 / LBP2 which doesn't allow anything I come up with. facts and status - 1-4 players (done) - ships and weapons use the players colors (done) - unlimited respawn, player gets minus points on death (done, may change any time) - invincible for 3 sec after death (done) - parallax scrolling background (to do) - upgradable weapons system (4 weapons with 3 upgrades each already implemented) - more to be announced video 2 this time i recorded the audio directly and edited the video a little. what you see (and hear): - a test environment (obviously) - 3 different main weapons (rapid, spread and grenade) - 1 additional weapon (aka passive or second weapon, in this case a simple homing missile) - death effect - power ups - 3 types of enemies - enemy projectile test - enemy behaviour test - 1 orange upgrade ship with random drop on kill (orange = not to be confused with my player-color) - ingame sound and music test http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MocJK_qhxgw
