Ok, this is a complete re-edit of this thread.

I'm creating a level series, which I have now planned, and decided the following. Here's a basic overview of the series to come.

Intro Movie - An intro the level series, showing the enemies invading and the town fleeing.
Level 1 - You begin training, learning the basics.
Level 2 - An introduction to the Grabbling Hook, a level based around layer changing.
Clip - You sail away for futher training across the ocean.
Level 3 - A bounce pad themed level with gravity changes.
Level 4 - Puzzles, challenges and races. You need to escape insanity.
Clip - You awaken from the machiene you were set in, to an invasion which you must end.
Level 5 - You fight enemies, and an introuduction to the creatinator.
Level 6 - x2, x3 and x4 intro challenges with co-op puzzles.
Clip - The invasion is too strong, and you are forced to flee on a train.
Level 7 - You revisit the factory of a better tomorrow. Clive is rebuilding the factory and you must save him.
Level 8 - You have to build a ship from the scrap in the factory to travel to the enemies lair.
Clip - You fly to the enemie lair, but sackboy must go alone.
Level 9 - Alone in the lair, you must fight the enemies and stop the enemie from producing further evil.
Level 10 - A final battle between the Boss and your sackboy. Stop the evil, and hit him hard with all the firepower you have. Take down his limbs and have him begging for his life, only for you to destroy him under the rubble of his own liar and restore the life to the land.
Clip - Ending movie showing the Boss being destroyed.
Credits - Thanking everyone who helped through the production of the level.

Through the series I plan on using checkpoints that aren't infinite lives, which offers a more challenging aspect to the levels.

I understand the series will take a long time, though I will release each level in sections. For example. I will release the first part of the series when the intro, level 1 and 2 and clip 1 are complete, perhaps. Or all at once, not sure at this time. Yes, i may be forgotten, but i will be revived during the publishment of this series.

Well i have similar goals with a clan i plan to make. i want this clan to be amazing and have no faults what so ever. it's a challenge already and I'm mid-way in the HQ's creation, I've decided the way the clan works already, and i have it all planned out from start to finish. things are very more difficult when you actually do them. I want this clan I'm working on to be different then most, and not be so average. it needs to be diverse and entertaining, I'm going to tell the community more of my plans when I feel the need to, but as for now, it's just a small task on my to do list that I'm not even half way through with. I have many other plans, but this clan is the starting post, to basically build a group/team to work with and help out. Be on the look out for my name on the cool pages after I finish my clan, because I'm going to Go SOMEWHEREin this community (with the help of my piers and friends, as well as the clan!) If you are a new creator and JUST got LBP a while ago, how do you have 730 creator hearts? Thats a big number, and I've had LBP1 since about a month after release and I don't have near that many hearts.2011-04-24 02:14:00

I got LBP1 in Jan 2011 and LBP2 Feb 2011. I got the hearts from building levels, my first level was Bounce Pad Platformer and got 17'000 plays.. The rest followed gaining views easy due to my first level. I can't say it was skill or talent that got me the hearts, it was more luck of meeting famous creators such as Lockstitch, Special_D, Christiandadrum, LaurraB29, Kallio99, Lordmagicpants and so on..

The hearts I have i am more than greatful for, though unfortunatly for those who have given me the hearts, i recently removed all my levels to replace with a series. Which the first of the series will take a while before published..

As for the help request with my project, i appreciate the offer though i tend to do things myself, unless 100% neccessary.

Well, I belive it's quite obvious that there is a cyber curse on my account that makes no one plays my levels (Sarcasm)

Well in all seriousness, I don't expect my old levels would get many plays, but they deserved more than what they got, and recently, I haven't made any, but I'm working on one. So hopefully that'll be my big break

But probably not.


But! Anyway, we're not here to talk about all my failures in LBP, we here to talk about your level. I hope my speaking of that didn't break upon the curse of doom onto your account.

Anyway I hope your serious turns out well, I'll definatly give it a play once it comes out. I'm sure it'll be worth a few minutes.

As for your "failures", like I said it was most likely luck for me.. Not everyone can have or/and share the same luck as I had. The old levels aren't likely to get much more plays in the future unless one of your future levels gains alot of views, making Cool Pages and then perhaps they might.

I can only suggest that you spend alot of time on your levels, put alot of effort into them, making sure there are no glitches or places where players should be able to enter, like out the level, then publish. I would suggest asking friends to play, then asking some new players on LBPC or even in reviews/comments of other levels.

Just something like..

"Hey, i played your level and i thoght it was awesome! The detail was great and the gameplay was smooth. I really enjoyed the part where..........., that was really fun for me! If you have a minute, I would appreciate it if you were to try my new level, .............., i worked really hard on it and I value your feedback. Many Thanks, ..........."

The series sounds good but seems somewhat like a long wait......Couldnt itt be possible That the communitty Could forget about you?
What i suggest, Is to release a level, Minigame, Or even a Short level To Keep the Community entertained and keep you and your levels on their mind, So They'll check in more often....Anyway,Again, Just my opinion, Send me a message if you decide to roll with it, I'll help you with ideas and themes.

Lol, the level being bad is not the problem, the old levels were decent-good to everybody else, to me there bad. But thats not the point. Lol I wasn't ever saying my old levels were bad, they just were bad to me, because I critisize myself alot.


And the reason I haven't made a level in about a year, is becuase the immense ammount of work and detail I put into all my creations. And sure I could drag a level's creation out for a very long time, but I learn a few tricks, and change the looks a little of a short ammount of time, so the level wouldn't ever match. So that's why the level I'm working on, will probably pretty short, after all its a prolouge.

Hopefully soon people will know my name, and I won't be mistaken for a noob all the time -_-

I have some popular friends, but I think one of them would be reluctant to advertise, because...well I guess he's just not like that lol.

And some of my friends have tried, but a lot of my friends are not really "Big Fish" so not to helpful. And I don't have any levels right now anyway XD.

Sounds like a very Entertaining line up of gameplay looking forward to playing and helping with it. ( If You Need any)
It seems that ,What your creating is a community Project, Which is most likely to be done with friends or just any other creator.
Sounds similar to the hansel and grtel sequence (Not the theme, But the plan you are using) Which is great because you'll receive much publicity for that, But remember, Just create for fun And Dont even think aboout quitting! Why? Because this topic has me really intrigued!

Btw be on the lookout for my new thread: Talking about my new platformer, Also showing some pics along with it.
