With all the free time thanks to PSN being hacked, I've been wondering through the depths of my moon... ...When I came across, a Portal Chamber I made in LBP1. This got me thinking about the whole GLaDOS survival thing. What if there was a game similar to that? The basic idea: 2-4 player game. 1-3 Player(s) are dropped into the landscape of tiles and floorboards. Whilst the other player is given complete control over the enviroment. Similar to how GLaDOS can control anything at will, this player can rearange the enviroment in any way to stop the other players from reaching their target; you! Now I've thought in so many ways how this would be controlled, but can't seem to find the simplest way? the [GLaDOS] player would be in a Invis-DCS the entire time, being able to select areas to move about in (only if the CCTV camera is still in place/ exist there). I've considered one possible way being a Mini-Map of the entire [Enviroment] that has simple shapes representing the floors, walls, roof, turrets? and as they are move, their counterparts would too. That technique would stop any help through the other players eeing a cursor of sorts, selecting what to choose to move... ...just getting a thought out of my head | 2011-04-23 17:09:00 Author: Nurolight Posts: 918 |
