Board Games

I am new to the forums, so first of all, hi everyone. Anyway, While I don't think people play lbp2 so that they can play board games, I think that it would be an interesting endeavor to re-create popular (or not popular) board games on lbp. It could be a skill game such a checkers or Quoridor (awesome game), or a partially luck based game. Who knows... I'm kind of a logic nut, and I love making things that work. On that note, I suck at making things look nice or creative. So if anyone is interested or has any ideas let me know | 2011-04-21 06:45:00 Author: Unknown User |
That would be so cool, like the tick tack toe game on mm picks! | 2011-04-21 23:32:00 Author: Squidge99 Posts: 203 |

Well Monopoly might be a bit hard to make, it has so much logic in! | 2011-04-22 09:47:00 Author: Squidge99 Posts: 203 |
Monopoly might be possible if the logic is simplified as much as possible hahaha. That's just such a loooonggg game that we would have to set it up so that it doesn't last forever. Well if anyone is interested in helping send me a message or just add me on psn (when it starts working again). | 2011-04-25 18:00:00 Author: Unknown User |
Ludo should be fun, and not as much work as Monopoly. I guess the hard bit would be making it so that you can choose which piece to move when there is more than one on the board. | 2011-04-25 18:57:00 Author: Unknown User |
I thought about the game "Sorry!" using in-out movers when the person is moving across the board XD | 2011-04-25 19:07:00 Author: Sonik42 Posts: 76 |
Yeah also thaught to make a board like game but not something like monopoly or else. | 2011-04-28 17:34:00 Author: Erebus Posts: 79 |
working out the logic so that only one player can move his piece during his turn is done, although I do want to simplify it a bit. A game that would be really hard (if not impossible) is scrabble hahaha. | 2011-05-04 08:08:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hmm...I have been working on a rock paper scissors game. :T I just havn't figured out how "turn" logic such as deactivating sum1's controllinator when they've made they're move, of course this has nothing to do with the RPS game I'm making, that is based on a timer. What ever sign that either player throws (rock, paper or scissors) is revealed at the same time so there's no cheating, I even figured out the "This-Beats-This" system. Tidal wave beats all!!! > | 2011-05-04 15:30:00 Author: Bradlee Posts: 96 |
Oh. I cant do logic but a good game to recreate would be monopoly. I dont know how you would do it but I agree it would be a great level. | 2011-05-04 16:24:00 Author: craigmond Posts: 2426 |
I have a sweet looking futuristic chess board sitting on my moon right now. The only problem is that it doesn't have any logic yet, so it requires the players to actually play fair (I know, right?) | 2011-05-04 20:57:00 Author: UberOrbPS Posts: 290 |
Hi folks, I like creating board games because i am more the logic guy So far i've done: - Connect 4, 2 player - Bubble burst, 1 player - Simon, 1 player -Pentago, 2 player They are all fully automated and therefore full of logic. I already thought so many times about doing monopoly, this would be a very very hard job but i see many ways to do it. @UberOrbPS: I think a game like chess would also be a big challenge to do it fully automated but sooooo awesome. | 2011-06-16 17:01:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hey!! Great thinking man!! How bout snake n ladders? I think monopoly can(eventually) be done in a realistic time limit, if you set up a limit of $money$ or something like that. When any player gets to a certain #, or first to build a hotel, game over. And maybe you could just choose between any 'game mode', which would logically change the time limit, like options between $2,000,$10,000, first to build a hotel.... | 2011-06-22 12:42:00 Author: propatino Posts: 6 |
In monopoly use the score as the money, makes it simple to show winner and also have buying systems Any way, what about, making an original board game? I could help with board design, I have a few setting ideas that would be awesome! | 2011-06-23 05:42:00 Author: Unknown User |
:T I just havn't figured out how "turn" logic such as deactivating sum1's controllinator when they've made they're move Simple fix- the two players are on controllinators that transmit 2 different colors, and the receiving controllinators are on microchips that are turned on and off by a selector switch. That disables the receiving controllinator from receiving the signal, and effectively shuts it off until its that player's turn again. | 2011-06-23 14:44:00 Author: poorjack Posts: 1806 |
