Score Sensitive Doors?
Archive: 6 posts
Okay so im making a level. its a top down shooter where u navigate ur "soldier" through different rooms after waves of enemies attack u. Heres my problem. i want u to be able to choose when to move to the next room, but before u can you need a certain score. (probably 1000). I set up a "Score sensor" or whatever that things called, but it just activates as soon as u reach the score which defeats the purpose of choosing when to open the door. SO my question is, does anyone know how to create a radius for the score sensor? this would allow players to simply approach the door when they wanted it to open. Its not anywhere in the settings and it doesnt have an input so u cant attatch a player sensor to it. I know a radius is possible because in teh story mode mini-levels, when u reach a certain score you unlock 3 iems, BUT they dont become available until you approach their dispensers. PLEASE HELP. | 2011-04-19 01:48:00 Author: Unknown User |
Hook it up to an AND gate with whatever they open the door with hookedup to the other port. | 2011-04-19 02:32:00 Author: jalr2d2 Posts: 256 |
You're more likely to get help if you post in the appropriate "Help" forum instead of "Introductions" So first of all, Welcome to Central. As for your problem, put a player sensor at the door. Connect both the score sensor and the player sensor to an 'AND gate' then connect the output of the AND gate to the door. That should solve your problem. | 2011-04-19 08:14:00 Author: SR20DETDOG Posts: 2431 |
