Looking for suggestions on specific community levels to play

Archive: 11 posts

My best friend is coming over on friday, and he's bringing his PS3. I was wondering if I could maybe get say...10 or so suggestions for really great community levels.

I know that there's a most popular section or whatever, but It's something massive, and I played a couple that while not horrible, weren't really special. I'd really like to get 10 games to really get us into the awesomeness that is the games community.

What we're looking for are levels that are kinda straightforward platformers, and by that I mean ones without bizarre logic puzzles that really make you think how to solve them. Basic little puzzles that are quite easy for those who don't really like doing puzzles are fine though.

What we're not looking for are Kart levels. They seem to be more trouble than they're worth. We're also not looking for are levels where you need to just survive attacks in a small area for most of the level.

We also wouldn't mind checking out complete(and only complete, as in final version and etc.) levels that others here have made, although we imagine that it's not really an option.

Oh, and if there's any specific sites out there that actually list community levels, and review them(other than blogs. I find blogs to be a pain to navigate through.)

Thank you for your time.

Have you tried looking at the Community Spotlights here on LBPC?
You could also check out my hearted list on lbp.me, as I am definitely a fan of platformers.

My comment still stands.
Check out the spotlights, you can probably filter them by LBP1/LBP2.

No. This is the right forum. Check out the Spotlight Archive (http://www.lbpcentral.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?73-Community-Spotlight-Archive) - most of episode 57, and everything prior is LBP1 only.

The levels are also browsable via a search engine (http://spotlight.lbpcentral.com/).

Straightforward platforming? Well, in my book, you need one name for half your list, even LBP1: Lockstitch
You could check out Jackofcourse as well, although his are a little harder and more puzzle-y

Hey there!

I saw in a comment my name mentioned as for suggested levels to play, which I appreciated and everything.. Though at the moment my levels have been taken down due to a project i'm working on.

Dispite this, I have my top 10 Platformer creators, and top 10 platformers to play below, hope you enioy and agree with my selection.

My top ten creators are as follows:

10. ATMLVE
9. Bloo-Boy
8. Jackofcourse
7. Jakeputz
6. Azure_Mist
5. Toykyomegaplex
4. Lordmagicpants
3. Ruof
2. Alley_cat_8633
1. Lockstitch

My top ten platforming levels as as follows:

10. Panda Rescue by Jackofcourse
9. A Realm Forgotten by Lockstitch
8. Industrial Platforms by ATMLVE
7. Tree top village 2 by Azure_Mist
6. Stary Nights by Ruof
5. Granite Gardens by Lockstitch
4. King Orca and his evil sandcastle of doom by Lordmagicpants
3. Mt Kalan by Alley_cat_8633
2. Vile A. by Lockstitch
1. Obsidian Depths by Lockstitch

A noticed to anyone who has not yet heard of Lockstitch, I suggest you take full attention to this notice and try out his levels. All are perfected platformers. All offer a smooth and amazing visual aspect to the LBP community. All are Lockstitch's creations.

Also, he has given word that his newest level, Project Loki which has been confirmed that it is being released in two parts, each as seperate levels, part one is to be released, and published as soon as PSN is back online.

Though, Anonymous, a group of hackers said they were going to attack Sony when PSN resumes normally, though they intend not to target PSN, so we're safe, I think

Anyway, hope this helps and happy easter!
