This has happened to me four times now and its is getting very annoying! In Lbp1 It restarted the game twice and in Lbp2 It did the same thing twice too! Now I have to start over from the beginning! All my costume, pods, levels(Earth/Moon), items from levels and Lbp1 stuff is there But all my Lbp2 stuff is Gone! The story mode started all over and I beat/aced/collected100%, and finished "Full Metal Rabbit" and hour before it hanged up! Also the guy saying everything is back and when I go to creat mode I cant use any thing (Goodiebag/Tools/Etc.) It tells me to go to the tutorials but its not there anymore! This is why I might sell my Lbp1/2 (GOTY/Collectors) to help me afford the 3Ds, and also because I spent like 12 hours a day for 6 days a week and iv'e been behind on my school work... So thats the reason I might say good bye to Lbp... D= Unless it get fixed somehow, im done...

Yeah it happened to me a few times on LBP1 and i know how you feel. On this on LBP2 i back up my data on a separate save profile which you can find in your pod. Press the start button and scroll down to BACK UP PROFILE (its in Big letters) then save what you have. This should help buddy.

oh man that's a HUGE bummer. i don't know what to say but you have my sympathy. but indeed, do as RtooDee2 says and back up your profile. i just transferred all my stuff to a new PS3 and backing up your profile could not be simpler or faster. i'm gonna do it every week now. that still doesn't address the issue of why your game keeps crapping out like that though. i really have no insight.

Yeah I guess... When I first got Lbp2 I always kept on Baking up my profile after like 2-3 days! But then I got used to the game and I stoped... It was a month since my last backup, and to me thats alot of stuff! But once agian Until then I might play it one or twice a week until I find out whats going to happen...

So far this has not happened to me, so I'm scared enough to start backups after every play One error I did have, however, was in Create mode. Placing an emitter, then going to place a switch, and the bubble indicating which object I was handling said "Emitter" Also, I have had the PS3 beep and shut off at the end of a save. Electronically, the PS3 has passed all diagnostics with flying colors. Must be a ghostsack in the machine...
