Hello LBPcentral! I'm currently working on a timed-button-pressing game (akin to rock band or guitar hero) which I originally started simply as a music showcase. I would have posted this in the level showcase with F4F, but I don't feel it's far enough along to warrant that quite yet. As of right now, I'm looking for a little input as to how the gameplay feels. The current build features one song to play against and a fully functioning menu system allowing you to start the game, view high scores, view a tutorial, or change a few game options (choosing difficutly and number of mistakes allowed). While not incredibly complicated, this is my first attempt at making any sort of menu system. An unofficial thanks to Comphermc for his excellent menu tutorial that was the basis for this, by the way. As I said, this is an early build of this, so the visuals are incredibly sparse (something I may actually want help on, if anyone is interested; my usual friend I build with has not been on in a while....ElectricCure, where are you?) but the gameplay, I think, is reasonably solid. Any sort of feed back, especially criticism, is appreciated. I plan to expand this mini-game with a multiplier system as well as additional music to play against. Enjoy!
