Playing with timers/analog signal to create cool lighting effects... and more

Awesome cat is back to give you more awesome tutorials Yea, i wanted to create tutorial about timers and lightning and it turns out as a mish-mash of everything around timers. So its back of cool tricks that you may find useful As you know my videos are unedited so you might watch moments where i fighting with what i suppose to do.... but i think thats a plus of my videos that they look less directed and more real (LBP) life situation Part 1: *Basic timer looping *Analog Saw wave (aka normally looped timer ) *Triangle wave (forward/Backword) *... which allows to make blinking too! *Logaritmic/hyperbolic signal spikes http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2CMj_D5WgM http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I2CMj_D5WgM Part 2: *Trying to remind myself to do... *Half-sinusoid/Soft Pulseing wave, cool for aura light and such *...and thats it... sincei lost timing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trJ_H_jFDX0 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=trJ_H_jFDX0 Part 3: *Analog signal smother *...which can detect intensivity of signal changes too. *...and even more fun! It allows to do snicking system for sniking game * "Probability lightning".... without OR gates like someone else did since he didnt notice some basic tweak in randomizer that allows to do that in simpler way *Combining both ideas, and creating analog signal noice generator http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEEdnVgfSlk http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEEdnVgfSlk Part 4: * Summering smother and noise generator to make it clearer * Broken-tape sounds * Frontal lightning from the foreground useing bee anthena (i forgot to add in video that you can make it invisble) *Thunderbolt lightning using lightning i mention http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyadtWWfidY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SyadtWWfidY So here you go i hope you find useful and don't got bored from my bobbling Enjoy! | 2011-04-16 04:41:00 Author: Shadowriver Posts: 3991 |

The awesome cat is back! Always enjoy your videos. I consider you quite knowledgeable when it comes to logic, so to watch you struggle with it from time to time is reassuring. Also, I love your commentary: "So, if you're smart, you know that you can use a sequencer here... Wait, I don't need a battery here. Oh god, I'm so stupid..." LOL. | 2011-04-16 19:39:00 Author: nextlevel88 Posts: 149 |
Once again, awesome work (and cat). The Bee Stalk idea is fantastic. I was actually grappling with this exact problem and wasn't happy with my LED solution. So I thought I'd take a break from creating and watch your new tutorial. I nearly broke the universe with the speed at which I went back to my PS3 to implement this! | 2011-04-17 10:28:00 Author: Mr_Fusion Posts: 1799 |
