My second pinball game. This time based on the TV show LOST. Check it out and tell me what you think! http://ic.lbp.me/img/fl/d8c6eb7b880bd8c8522b87f446d28d19ce437591.jpg http://i9.lbp.me/img/fl/8b9247d7a5d16211ca9701bc77e54383ae441dcd.jpg http://i0.lbp.me/img/fl/1b06b6432c38be7115c2c5ad276b69a145eaad1d.jpg http://ib.lbp.me/img/fl/86b86029ba609b33c24e30d2a3999729e3e81fd2.jpg http://lbp.me/v/z22f-2 | 2011-04-15 17:29:00 Author: hm83 Posts: 69 |
Wooooah! I watched the show, loved it (but hated how they ended and explained some things). I'll queue this up right away. If you want, give my MGS4 level a shot. http://lbp.me/v/zzm3ge | 2011-04-15 20:27:00 Author: Unknown User |
didn't really watch the show but love pinball, off to the queue | 2011-04-15 20:56:00 Author: biorogue Posts: 8424 |
I watched the first few series but I wasn't too keen on where it seemed to be going. The first series was great but then it seemed they were just making it up as they went along. I ll definatly give this a go though. | 2011-04-16 02:34:00 Author: Aven1981_UK Posts: 51 |
Wow, fantastic. I made a pinball level in LBP1 and have been looking forward to some pinball tables made with new tools. This was excellent, but unfortunately ended with a glitch (also similar to the show itself LOL). During multiball, somehow one ball slipped out. The other ball "died" and I started a new ball. That ball slipped out of the machine as well, when it went to the lit up area in the upper left. Take a look at the snapshot I uploaded and you can see both ejected balls on the floor of the level. I believe I had one ball left, but it failed to spawn due to the logic being unprepared for this. Not sure if you're running into this in your testing, but the level was so good with all of the bonuses and references that a glitch of this magnitude struck me as alarming. I think I kind of get what you may have been trying to accomplish, shifting the ball between layers somehow, or maybe that was completely unintentional. Either way, if you can fix this I think this level could be flawless. | 2011-04-16 02:43:00 Author: discokrakken Posts: 108 |
Just played it through a few times and the level is great the atmosphere is totally LOST. The pinball is great too! The lighting up the numbers and characters fits well. ejected balls on the floor of the level. I believe I had one ball left, but it failed to spawnI experienced the same issues, on the way back down from some of the ramps on the left, pretty sure is where it happened both times for me. The In & out mover could be misfiring, i had to use a .1 sec timer and a NOT gate on a pulse (set to move back once) for this top-down jump thing i was working on to go back to the 'ground.' | 2011-04-16 04:53:00 Author: Ace29 Posts: 132 |
Hi great start to your level. I left a review detailing the issues I had with it. I also played your other pinball level and I just wanted to say the ball physics in that one was first rate. Im interested, Im guessing you used the same ball but did you use anti gravity on your lost one. They feel completely different. | 2011-04-16 06:19:00 Author: Aven1981_UK Posts: 51 |
Thanks everyone for pointing out those bugs. I really appreciate it! I experienced the same thing a while ago when I was testing the level, but I thought I had solved it. I guess that's not the case. I’ve made a small update with some other minor fixes already, and I will work on the level and release a new version soon. I find the IN/OUT movers to be quite buggy to work with. I will try to use your solution “Ace29”. Thanks! It’s really hard to test it though, because most of the time it works but then occasionally it doesn’t. I guess the speed of the ball (or lack of speed) sometimes makes the mover not working. Hi great start to your level. I left a review detailing the issues I had with it. The pinball’s in my two pinball games should be exactly the same but maybe the amount of things in the LOST version makes the game play a little less fluid. Did you think the pinball was too light or too heavy? | 2011-04-17 18:47:00 Author: hm83 Posts: 69 |
This level is now updated and the layer-mover bug should be gone. | 2011-05-17 23:18:00 Author: hm83 Posts: 69 |
