Other players in a Single Player Level

I'm sure this has been asked before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. I have a level that's single player, and the player is controlling a Sackbot. I'm thinking you will need controllinators on invisible holo to scoop up the extra players. You could have 3 different emitters with player sensors set to 2, 3, and 4 which would activate their respective emitters and emit the necessary number of invisible controlinators to grab the extra players. You may want to have an AND gate going to the emitters actually. Then connect the player sensors and the "player 1 controllinator output" hooked into it so the invisible controlinators aren't emitted until one of the players take control of the sackbot. | 2011-04-15 00:18:00 Author: KnutsoPX Posts: 116 |
First you'll need a player counter. Here's a tutorial http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AoksqBRw4z8 Lay out 3 pieces of holo turned all the way down. On the first one put a MC and 1 controlinator, on the MC put a player follower set to max speed and acceleration and also gravity tweaker set to 100 antigrav. Tweak the controlinator to be autoenter and turn up the range a bit. Make it not visible in play mode. Now put a copy of the chip on the other 2 pieces of holo. Copy the controlinator and put 2 on the second holo and 3 on the third piece of holo. So next put three emitters and the player sensor near the level entrance along with a timer. Set the timer to 2 or 3 seconds' just long enouh to allow all the players to enter the level. Set each of the emitters to emit a different piece of the holo you made earlier. The player sensor should have 4 outputs, 1 for each number of players. Don't do anything with the 1 player output. Connect the 2 player output to the emitter with the holo with 1 controllinator om it. The 3 player out put to the emitter with the 2 controlinators. And the 4player output to the last emitter. Now if 2 or more players enter your level the extra player or players will be put into controlinators at the start of the level and will follow invisibly throughout the level.
