Really simple. It's a feature that has been here for a good while, before other LBP sites were even born. It's a feature that people love. It's a feature that helps socialize.

If you mean the facebook style chat, then the reason it's not coming back is that it requires a much better server. Like, in order to run it without any hiccups, we'd need to pay 8 times what we currently pay for server or something, which CC can't pay obviously, and there aren't enough donators to pay for that. I would like it back, but that's what CC said when I asked him ;o

The cometchat was a luxury, even a simple Java based chat would do the work. Less stylish but working nonetheless. I don't care to stay logged in a chat in a window and browsing the forum in another now that every modern browser support multiple windows at the same time.

So, say, any chat box would be good? Well, I agree with you, that would make my day. But unfortuantly CC keeps saying no... ah well, I guess I'll lend my support to another futile effort to bring back some method of chat <_<
