| Haven't decided, loved the first one...didn't finish the 2nd. I let myself get bogged down in trying to level the different unit types and it pretty much sucked all the fun out of the experience. | I beaten it last night and here's my little review. It starts out pretty bad, because of the different and difficult learning curve (since the old methods of farming no longer work, its now gold collecting for leveling up armor and weapons) and you are limited for your hero until he reaches level 15, and it can be even harder without getting help online, but afterwards its a real blast, all the classes are fun and well balanced and the class and set skills really set in for some unique characters. My only complaints afterwards is the Ending and the lack of post-game stuff that doesn't have to do with online, without the online your level cap is stuck at 30-32 and some missions you can't do or are impossible without help. As for the ending, its bad in so many ways, 1: You are given an option that yields different end game rewards (You can only have 1) and then there's the ending itself, its just bad and also a bit confusing. | I just heard you only have 4 characters in the group (besides the Hero Patapon) and not a army anymore. and there's no more mini games. they changed the formula to fit a more casual player base = not as good game. i found the whole point of the game idea of patapon was to make a army, beat big bosses and play cute mini games all in a fun musical way. i can say I perhaps won't be getting this one, hopefully this was just a one time thing and they'll make it more like the game use to be in the new games to come. | 2011-04-17 06:14:00 Author: Lord-Dreamerz  Posts: 4261 |
