4 layers and not 3?

Archive: 10 posts

Hi, i'm messing around with the editor etc...and placing some user made items.
Now I noticed there is a truck, which has wheels in the size of a concept!
so not the normal 1 layer from 3, but the 1 layer from 4.
Don't know how to explain actually, just wanna know how i can make a wheel in width of a concept....
*explodes*

EDIT: The scenic items also have this.(some of them like the power digger man)

Guys, lighten up, English is not this guy's native tongue.

Could you perhaps clarify Oldage?

He means the three 2d layers, i think

You can flatten objects you that they are two dimensional. There are acctually six layers

There are 7 layers though... the 3 thick ones the player can walk over, 2 thin layers on the outside, and 2 thin layers between the thick ones. All up that makes 7.

Maybe what he saw was an object that used all 3 player levels as well as the 2 outside ones? You could have things like pistons and magnetic keys and so on sitting on a thin layer on the outside, giving the illusion that it's on 4 layers.

Switches and other such odds and ends don't actually exist in the physical dimension, they are just graphical representations of their positions. But some of them stick out a bit, making them look like they exist on another layer.

That's my take on the subject, but I might have completely misunderstood. :o

Go to the level editor and place the power digger man from the scenic category.
You can put him in 4 layers, not in the normal 3 :/

Sometimes i just hate how my english doesn't goes that far

@ the rest: try what i said, not sure...

Isn't that object made completely of thin material? There are four thin layers, so that makes sense. If you want to make your own thin objects, you can use R1/R2 to change the thickness when you are creating new objects. You can also change the thickness of simple objects that you pick up with your cursor.2008-12-02 17:20:00

How was I supposed to know that? I wasn't trying to be harsh anyway, I apologize if I came across that way.

EDIT: Someone -repped me saying "don't be harsh". That's rich in irony.
