I am willing to do F4F if you want, please post the link of the level you would like me to look at here. Thanks!

So, Version 2.0 has been published. This is a reworked level and I am very happy with it. This should be the final version (bar bugfixing) so work can start on part 2!

Just played your level, and i was very impressed!
first of all the textures were very well picked, and work very well with the feel of the level.
You had some very original ideas here and there like the part where you have to shield yourself from the fireballs.
At some parts i could see the outside of the cave, so try to hide that.
Other than that I think your level is very good and deserves more plays.

Thanks for the Feedback saarraz. I will look into what you said. I am currently working on version 2.0 wich should be even tighter and with more eye candy
I have queued your level and will get back to you as soon as I've played it. Sounds really interesting though!

Hello there (and sorry for my english),

I've played your level yesterday, and liked it. The gamplay is solid and there is variety in the situations, which is always a good thing. The visuals are good, not perfect but good anyway. I liked the puzzle at the beginning, even if I found it quite easy.

One or two thing I can suggest :
-I'm not sure about this but did you eject the player from the controlinator when the puzzle is solved ? I think you don't and it could be a good thing. And maybe add a text or a visual indication to let you know how to move the bloc.
- Using the sponge to avoid the fire ball is a good idea, but the look of the sponge is not the best. Maybe can you add decorations, use another material, give it a prettier shape, or a cobination of these ideas?

Overall, it was good, enjoyed the level

If you have the time to do F4F, can you look at my level ? Here is the link (https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=54330-Dr-Who-Lost-soul-1P-Only).

Thanks !

Hey, this looks familiar! LOL

This looks much better than the previous version I commented on. I remember the common elements (which have been improved) but most of this seems new. Either way, it plays a lot better. I'm not sure how I feel about the ambiance, but it's fine if that's the effect you're after or don't think any songs are suitable. (I know there was some discussion of that on the demo version as well) It still felt a little on the short side, but that can be a good thing for a series. Good to see how this has improved!

Played it, had fun. It's a good little platformer. I have a couple suggestions.

*Could use some direction on the controls for the first puzzle ( "Oh, the right stick" )
*When I'm jumping in front of the collapsed blocks to make it to other parts of the platform, I get sucked in by LBP's auto-layer-shifting
*Level is generally very quiet, and I'm not sure if that is by design or not. Perhaps some music or regular ambient sound?

Good job on the level. If you'd like to give my level a try, link is in the signature below.

Wow, didn't log in for 2 days and missed some action it seems

Thanks for the great feedback!

@slurm: The Controllinator was supposed to eject you, I seem to have overlooked that in this version. Thanks for the pointer. Second I am not all that happy with the sponge either and I will definately look into making it prettier. It kind of looks a little cheap, but it was the prototype implementation of an idea to see if people like it.

@ disco: if you like this you are gonna love the 2.0 Version That one is going to have music, Guardians to give you hints and pointers and a better lighting. I just started working on it now and am already quite happy with the visuals (and I am almost always unhappy with something). 2.0 should be the final version before I move on to the next level. I think you can expect to see the same jump between the current and the new version like there was between the demo and version 1.0 Thanks for following and taking the time to play both versions . I seriously hope that 2.0 can impress you again.

@galaxy: Thanks, I have queued your level aswell

@Hoplyte: Thanks for the comments. I can't follow your auto layer comment though. What problem did you have there? Is it the part where you jump up on a few bouncepads with the fireballs dropping in the background? What issue did you have? As for music, as I wrote to discokrakken, it is planned, I just always leave it for last and then forget to implement it. As i am reworking this level anyway I will look into it again.

For all of you: the sticker key you get at the end is valid no matter which version you have played Thanks for playing and taking the time to comment. I will get back to those of you who's levels I have queued Cheers!

Hey dude!

Considering that this is your first level, I have to welcome you as a creator. Good job!

Now, for the feedback.

I see that the lack of music has been mentioned, but that goes for me as well. It does a lot to setting the atmosphere and feel of a level.

Also, there are some layer change issues:

http://id.lbp.me/img/ft/2eda47255c3576d137d6771f63a29b453948389c.jpg

Like for instance here, where you have gaps in the backdrop, it will make the player change layers if he/she jumps.

A way to fix this is to add a thin layer of 0% holo in front of it(that would be between the walkway and the burning..rubble..) and then use the plasma tool(set to mute).

This will prevent the player from being able to change layers as invisible thin plasma is invisible in play mode.

Discosmurf provided a picture and description of the same area where I had layer shift issues. Basically, if you take a big leap between the broken segments of floor, you can get pulled into the background and possibly stuck or killed.2011-04-14 18:55:00

Actually that was intentional as there is a small ledge in the last layer that contains some point bubbles *g*. I tested it like 100 times but then again I knew when and where to jump. I see the valid point and, as I am doing a small redesign for 2.0 anyway I will fix this issue. Thanks 2011-04-15 07:35:00

Feedback now done on all F4F levels requested, thanks for your patience.
Version 2.0 has been published with the rework and should pretty much adress all the problems listed here, with a bit of a different level design and some more eye candy
Hope you like it!
P.S. might even be worth a replay as it is different to the previous Version!

I played this level last week before the server went down. It's a fun platformer.

VISUALS:
Very cool use of the materials. The usage of the aztec faces reminded me of "Zelda Ocarina of Time".

SOUND:
Good use of an LBP1 music.

GAMEPLAY:
Uh, I don't remember the gameplay of this level because it's been a week, but I do remember that it has really good platforming and good use of bounce pads.

OVERALL:
A fun platformer with polished details. A yeah vote.

When PSN gets back online, F4F "Cybernetic Adventures Gamma"
