But i noticed people don't read my reviews as much as others. It's probably because i don't put the name of the level in the thread and people have to go into my thread to see what I'm reviewing. So i'll just put my reviews in a list in my Introduction topic. Sooo... Time for a review! Review #12! Lost Shrine of the Bunraku Monks by pickled-punk http://lbp.me/v/rs87tz I review random levels sometimes. Anywho, We all creators have had a point where we were bad at making levels, Where we made mediocore/poor levels and thought they were the greatest thing ever. Then a long time later we look back at our levels and think they are pretty poor. . I remember pickled-punk requesting plays in a thread before. So why not review a level of his without asking?!. GamePlay At the beginning of this level you walk to the right since as gamers we have a natural instinct to walk to the right in platformers. You go to a boat and you are told to find Forbidden Oni-Mask. There are some small fun and creative segments such as some average platforming segments and some points where you have to move snow out of the way. But these are mixed in with some poor designed segments such as a long annoying part where you have to grab sponges in the air, and a part where you have to grab the ceiling. The level is a mixed bag, As is the difficulty some parts stick up as annoying and some that stick out as poor. There are a lot of points hidden throughout the level, which was pretty nice. Overall the level is a mixed bag and shows a lot of effort. You can obviously tell he worked hard on this level. 28/50 (I like pancakes more then I like waffles) Atmosphere In the description it says you were sent somewhere by a boat. What bugs me about this is that if your supposed to be sent there by boat, you should start in the boat and not in an area near the boat. The snow on the ground was pretty nice. The characters were all re-skins of story mode characters/doll objects. Most of the level stuck to a snowy shrine theme but in certain parts of the level its all bombarded when you traverse floating... Wooden platforms? I have no idea but in the level there are floating platforms made of wood. It really just puts the mood to a halt. The characters build up how you are searching for the sacred Oni-Mask. When you finally see the mask, its a cutout of the voodoo doll head sticker. I found this hilarious for some reason. The levels does show an atmosphere for the most part but it's bad at points especially the floating platforms part. 13/30 (Why were the platforms floating) Music & Sounds The music was pretty fitting. I didn't notice any sounds. 8/20 (Use sounds) Final Thoughts I enjoyed this level. It's a mixed bag with some parts that are bad and some that are good. Its overall a poorish level. I would say this level is the equivalent of a bad movie you could like. 49/100( Eh)
