Well I have always been led to believe that Republishing your level gets you more plays, well after tons of editing and Republishing I actually started getting plays by the end of the night I had 25 plays republished once more went to bed and when I woke up I had about 95 plays. This is were my point comes in if my level sat somewhere in the cool pages all night and got more plays then me Republishing is that the formula for success? Do you keep Republishing? I don't know for sure what do you guys think?

It worked for LittleBigPlanet 1 but I'm not sure if it works for LBP2. I did it too in LBP1 and got some plays more. I also looked everytime in the New Level section to see if I could find it there. I think this 'trick' doesn't work in LBP2 anymore. I didn't tried it yet but with the new engine of LBP2, it doesn't look me possible to get it on that way. So, I say: Does work in LBP1, not in LBP2.

Well it worked for me but it also had severe consequences in LBP1. I republished and my level reached 50 plays but all the stars counted void and my level stayed at 3 stars despite all the four and five star ratings.

None Republishing dont boosting level on cool pages anymore, republishing wont effect level in wrong way Reason why you level get plays its because it's moving higher on cool pages due good rateings, its currently at 3rd page ;] and it most likely get even higher, if it reach 1st pages you level will have guarranty 4 digit play count ....so i can only say gz. Quastion for you, if you friends played level once oyu published?

My experience with republishing was that a level that's re-published infrequently (less than once every few days or so) will seem to get plays (from new people) soon after the re-publishing. I got to 50 plays, though, so I don't care about plays any more.

Just a helpful piece of advice. If you're like me and publish your levels locked for backup purposes, don't just hit republish/unlock when you're ready to release. You've already burned your chance at cool pages exposure! If your republish is significant, it may be best to publish in a clean slot, depending on the plays and ratings you've accumulated so far.
