Hey everyone, I hear a lot of people always talk about this, and opinions can sometimes seem to be rather extreme. When a player has more than 1 crown is this right? My opinion is hard to solidify, I feel that (probably because I don't have a crown and I'm bias) I should get more chance at a crown, especially if someone else already has one, it's not like that can wear two crowns! ...Although, that would be really cool... Then again, why destroy all motivation to compete and get better for the crowned people out there, the NBA never made the Celtics stop winning NBA championships, why should Mm keep crowned people from earning more? And in order to be crowned, you have to beat those already crowned, to prove you're deserving, considering you win it in a contest. This just seemed like such a weird ethical debate to me, and I thought you all might have differing opinions. And I hope this topic doesn't already exist, I tried searching.

I agree with you in a way but instead of them winning a crown maybe the win the royal cape royal staff or royal boots and you build your collection of royal wear gives the creators something to drive for cause if I had a crown I'm pretty sure I could care less about winning 2

There is absolutely no limit to the amount of crowns Mm can give out, so I don't see why this should be a problem.

Yes, you can compete how much you want, and you can also send the crown code to one of your friends. There's nothing bad with it.

Well, if they're just gonna' keep entering and dominating every contest, that would make them jerks in my opinion, but I wouldn't want to say that they should just stop after the first crown if these competitions are what they enjoy. Ultimately, I don't worry about it much because I don't really enjoy the competition thing--I don't like working with deadlines, there haven't been many competitions that were to my taste, and it always seems that no matter how hard you work on something, somebody always does one better. For somebody who really wants one but hasn't been able to get one, I can imagine it would be frustrating to see somebody get their third or fourth crown. instead of them winning a crown maybe the win the royal cape royal staff or royal boots and you build your collection of royal wear gives the creators something to drive for That's a nice thought, but I think it would do more harm than good. As it is, I suspect that, while there are plenty of people with crowns, there aren't that many who have more than one, but the competition would be much stiffer if you had to win two or three contests to get a full set.

Personally, if I won a crown contest (never saw a contest that interested me), I'd feel like a complete jerk entering another contest and beating out some poor soul who didn't have one - and will probably never get that close again. But that's just me.

Yeah I agree, I think if I had one, I'd probably just stick to my own creating and feel happy I won one. Thanks for all the opinions

If I were handed a second crown code, I would probably hold a contest of my own to give it to someone that doesn't already have it. Everyone wants one, and there are not enough chances to reward the people that I feel truly deserve them. Of course, that would require getting a first crown.

i think it depends how you got it. for example comphermc got a crown for contributing to the lbpc logic pack (i think :/) so if he then went ahead and won a crown in a contest than i think thats fine. if Mm gave him a second crown for "benefitting the lbp community" due to his tutorials for example then i think thats is a bit dumb. also if you won a crown in a contest then unless there was some dlc up for grabs you should decline the prizes from winning another contest or find a nice way of giving the code away.

If I had one and entered a competition to win another, I'd mention I'd already have one and say not to give me another, but still enter, maybe as an example to others?

I don't think previous crown winners should be barred from winning competitions that award crowns. The idea that you have to "beat" those who have already received a crown is similarly flawed. I'm sure there are plenty of crown winners here that would tell you about competitions they may have entered where they didn't make it into a final round, or that their entry wasn't nearly as good as some of the others. Everyone should have an equal chance to win a competition, etc. as anyone else.
