PSN is down (EU)...

Archive: 7 posts

I haven't been able to sign into PSN for over two days on my PS3 or into various PSN websites including lbp.me. There's been no official announcement from Sony (probably too embarassed) as to why but a few moderators and several others on the official PSN forums have stated so.

So if you're having problems it's not your ISP or router that has messed up. I'm keeping tabs on the news but there's still nothing as to why. All I can take from various posts is that it may be due to hackers in retaliation to GeoHots case. Or may be not, who knows.

Can't sign into lbp.me site either because of this.

Have you tried again today. Those Anonymous fools said they've stopped the DDoS attack on Sony, because they realized that they hurt consumers more than Sony.2011-04-07 11:45:00

Yes I was thinking customer base. Yet Sony should have a customer service incentive to actually announce it somewhere and why, especially for those that have paid for the plus service. It's not even on the playstation blog. If it is, I can't find it.2011-04-07 11:49:00

Yeap that's what I pointed at in my first post about hacking, guess it's confirmed then. Sony should at least have a duty of customer care/service to announce it. Or a community manager (like other platforms do). I'll take a look at your link, thanks.2011-04-07 12:01:00
