Return to Singe Ruins (pictures & video inside)

Archive: 12 posts

Info
This level is a "sequel" to Singe Ruins. Unlike the first level, however, it has a cast of characters and an actual "story". One of the best parts is, you'll come back several times! There are 10 unlockables, and a lot of them are tough to get or hidden. There are also two multiplayer puzzles and a secret sticker switch. You won't be able to get 100% on the first go, I guarantee it!

There's even an alternate ending...

Level Description
Meet a team of goofy archaeologists and help them explore a new, undiscovered area in the mysterious Singe Ruins.

Hey man I just played this and it's great. I hearted the first singe ruins and I think this is better in every was so it goes without saying that this is hearted and 5 star. Having said that I definitely think there are a couple of things that could make the level better:

1. Get rid of the neon pink arrows! (I am staring to sound like a broken record I have said this so many times). They do not fit your atmosphere. Also the donkey and caution stickers really don't belong here (seen during the moving cart sequence).

2. Make your switches invisible. I think most creators simply forget to do this and I personally find it jarring, all the visible switches can really tarnish the atmosphere of a level.

3. The bouncy platform part after the cart sequence is unnecessarily unforgiving. I kept getting throwing into the fire and for this reason could not complete the level. I would do some tweaking as well as add a double life checkpoint.

I have to say that there are so many cool elements going on here. At the very beginning the rotating block with the two rocks was genius. The whole moving platforms part was awesome. The use of the archaeologist for puzzles was very well done. I strongly encourage everyone to try this level out, you will not be disappointed

Hard, but satisfying. (That's what she said! hurr hurr) Hearted.I like to make my levels challenging...

...sadly, that makes people who are bad at LBP rate it 1 star and call it Rubbish.

...sadly, that makes people who are bad at LBP rate it 1 star and call it Rubbish. I know what you mean. H.A.T.E. just went from 5* to 4* on my sackbook page. Probably just somebody who thought it was too hard.

Oh well, screw em.

yeah had it happen to me as well, sucks cause when we put so much effort into it only to be knocked by someone who is no good at the game or up to no good it kinda dampens the experience for creators
