adding to queue now, to add screenshots.. In game press start, then the camera icon. it will take a picture. open popit, go to your pictures, choose which one you want, press square, upload.
go to LBP.me and find your picture, click on it, copy url. in LBPC click on the insert picture icon, paste url. you're done. alternately you can open popit, go to stickers, use camera tool in there, position box where want to take picture and hit X, then upload etc. etc.

First of all, improve on your post.

With the introduction of LBP.me there's no reason to have a showcase post without screenshots. This puts me off sometimes, but your level had a cool title so I thought, what the heck.

Man, that is one LONG level!! And with making long levels comes some challenges like keeping the visual style and quality intact and managing to keep the players interest and attention.

In many ways you succeed on the last point. Some of the obstacles may seem a bit rushed, but all in all it kept me captivated throughout.
Some of the sections are visually very nice, but others look a bit.... boring and uninspired.

The voicework is not the worst I've heard and especially the male character stand out as above average for LBP.

Overall a very good level that deserves more attention. But I hate to break it to ya, mate: It's all up to you.

Advertise on other sites as well and most importantly: Play a lot of levels yourself and leave honest feedback.

thanks for the feedback disco.

About the visual inconsistancies i maxed out space so i took away detail just to finish it. I didn't want to add another part as i was afraid it would be Way to long. and yeah im going to add my own screenshots today. I know screenshots help alot, i just didn't know how to .

I still have some things to fix, but want to start one act 2 soon , aswell as add the life option for the first part.

as for voice acting thanks for the compliment. My fiance was a little shy so she didn't speak up. it was difficult becaause she did all her lines a day before I recorded mine. sequencing that was extremelly difficult because the sackbots were emitted, u shud see the mess on thier microchip haha I would get lost on which sequencer/timer did what.

Voice on the male character was done by me, so thanks again :3. I'm going to check out your levels aswell as some of the above levels. I normally play with my fiance so we will give both our opinions. thanks for ur time!

Hey there! Checked out your level the other day, overall I enjoyed it, but here's more detailed feedback:

The good - The opening cutscene is pretty well done and a very exciting start to the level. The level itself is MASSIVE and I like that, really gave it a sense of being on an epic scale. In terms of individual sections, I liked the winged creatinator, the section where you push the bouncepad against a block to launch yourself, the swinging rope section against the trippy animated background, and the race with the moving checkpoint. Also, excellent work on the voice-acting, and the costume design was top quality. Some really cool looking cutscenes.

The not so good - Despite opening cutscene being cool, it can be broken. The first time I played it for some reason it broke and I ended up outside the boundaries of the level; not quite sure how, but it did happen! The camera angles with the goblin monster are frustrating and confused me quite a bit. The section with the grabinator needs a wider camera angle so you can see what to do. The opening section where you have to remove all the rocks takes WAY too long, you should remove about half of those rocks. On a technical point, you need to hook your cutscenes up to a counter so as they only play once - currently they can be triggered twice if you walk/swim back into the same area. As others have noted, there is a deal of visual inconsistency about the level as well...undoubtedly it improved as it went along, the final third was the best by quite some margin.

Overall the level was a real mixture, I think the beginning looks good but in gameplay terms it's quite weak, but the more I played of the level the more I began to enjoy it. And the cutscenes were great, especially loved the ending one when the bad guy dodges all the lightning bolts! I'd rate your level a 6/10, but the final sections more like a 7.5 or 8!

My level for F4F is in my sig, many thanks!

@Agsrule

Thanks alot for the feedback! Im glad you liked those parts I wanted to do more with the winged creatinator but i maxed out my themometer sadly :/
I addressed most of the problems like the spawn camping goblin, some people being able to climb the mountain in the begining. I will widen the camera with the grabinator tho to make it easier like u said tho

Only thing i cannot fix and I tried everything is that sometimes sackboy comes out of the ship. its a glitch in the game because i resealed everything in the ship over and over and found that no matter what you either die (mostly die) or u fall out of the ship when the ship hits the floor. i think if i electrified part of the begnining of it then maybe ur characters wud be forced to die, sending them back into the ship. might work i hope.

As to visual inconsistancies, yes they were inconsistant mainly due to it being my first lbp2 lvl so i was getting a feel for the tools and had no idea what to do lol. as i kept making the level i understood the game more and thats where it got more polished. I fixed the multiple triggering of the cutscene in the intro (swim part) by adding a 1 time timer so thats fixed. I will fix the cutscene for the goblin since that can be annoying sorry hehe.

i have tons of idea's for boss fights and obstacles now that i understand the new tools more tho im still learning. from the sounds of it u mostly enjoyed the 3rd part best since its the newest . my next levels should have that type of polish at the very least and or better, def better hehe.

as for the cutscenes, thanks again. It was a massive pain to choreograph that scene. My fiance did her voices a day before i did mine. ontop of that they were emitted so it made it a super pain to sequence.

im happy at the end with it i think so far its a good begining......shuda saw how random my first LBP1 level was lmao, wow.

well next is for me to play ur level! thanks alot for ur time and feedback, i will leave feedback for u 2 ofcourse!

Great job. This was a very long level!
I took some notes as I went...

-Didn't know where to swim after intro movie (Up?, Right? Left?). I eventually figured it out, but maybe add some subtle clues as to which direction to swim.
-After "death isn't so bad" some of the obstacles could use some esthetic work
-Great camera angles when grappling onto the angel as it flies up the waterfall.
-Great combination of the "squish" columns and angry sackbot following the angel grapple.
-interesting puzzle with the three blocks
-Interesting stair idea (with the two opposing stairs that move in and out), and great animation following this scene.
-On moving bounce pad/grapple, if you die and respawn, you are continually respawned into certain death. This is frustrating and needs reworking.
-Interesting creatinator stuff with the winged bounce pads. Reminds me of one of the story mode levels.
-Same problem with the later water scene. After dropping into the water, I didn't know where to go.

Over all a good level with some very interesting puzzle type elements and challenging obstacles. Well done. I think that it was a bit long, but perhaps this was because I was stopping to jot notes. Also, with a bit of polishing, the gameplay would become smooth and seamless enough to where the length wouldn't be as noticeable. Good work.

@jnstin

thanks 4 feedback, I added a 2 second cutscene camera to say where to go in the first water and fixed a few things. Im goin to fix the stairs in the beggining after (Death isn't so bad) because I noticed they werent so nice looking lol. As for the race where if u die u die for atleast 1 obstacle I made the middle bouncepad bounce u so low u cant burn but u still have to keep up with it, making it a little more fair.

but im glad u enjoyed thanks again!
