Little big planet 2 levels

Archive: 28 posts

For most people, like me, it is hard to try and make a good level. For days I've tried to think of a good level to make, pondering over ideas when finally, an idea came to me (well not really, I just got bored). I should make LBP PS3 & LBP2 levels for people who don't have a PS3 to experience it. I actually don't have a PS3 but there is something called YouTube that i heard is very useful (I have heard of it, just a little joke). So I used that as a resource and made a grab and swing level (out now). If anyone sees a level that seems simple to make, I will be trying any level you throw at me (please toss)(I like parenthesis)2011-04-06 14:56:00

So you are going to recreate levels that have already been released by creators on PS3?
Unless you ask the creators' permission frst, I don't think many people would be to happy with you effectively 'stealing their ideas'.

I advise you to ask the creator of a level you wish to replicate, before you release it to the PSPers, just so you don't get in trouble.

*UPDATE* I'm working on a Pipe Dreams remake as I text. Also, if anyone can help, I'd appreciate it if I could get some character objects for LBP2 remakes and area pieces for possible levels + some support for power-up area solutions through levels or whichever way you can transfer them2011-04-10 00:56:00

i think it was because i put a camera on sackboy using a glitch and i noticed he started freaking out, stopped, and the camera disappeared.
LESSON: just stop using glitches in you levels if it keeps screwing up

am I allowed to swear on here? Cause I'm gonna swear! Okay, THIRD try at the level.
I'm getting the feeling that MM is watching created levels for PSP when they're supposed to be watching it on PS3. If this screws up again, I can't think of anything to do right now...

Some of you have already assumed that I gave up for a while... I have. The only problem that stopped me for a while was my bounce pads leaning to the side after I saved my level to work on it later. So I'm just going to use platforms connected to the floor using pistons. If anyone else has another way to make a bounce pad, please tell me and I'll consider using it. I'll also be thinking about taking requests to make LBP2 levels and YES I will ask the creators permission to recreate the level.2011-06-24 05:33:00

That is what I tried to describe in the post above you. It may not look like a bounce pad, but it does keep the level in it's style or look (whatever word you want to use). I will try to give the level it's "technical" look that the bounce pads usually gave along with the electric circuit boards. If anyone has any ideas for THIS, they will also be considered to be used in the level.2011-06-24 16:32:00

Maybe you know this (I assume you do), but you could put thin material in front of the bounce pads to hide the awkward gaps left when the piston quickly springs up.

I've tried that, but to launch sackboy to the destination of the next point requires the piston to go VERY high. To put a tall thin wall in front of the whole level would just be blinding. I'll try increasing the piston to 0.2 or 0.3 to give sackboy a better launch rather than a speed-of-light moving piston that causes sackboy to move away from the sensor before the piston reaches it's maximum height. You may have to read this post multiple times to understand what I'm saying...

Dude, Like 3 people voted.
And there are other things to make than LBP2 levels.
Just think, and you'll get something. (Like I did, I finally managed to make a level with at least a bit of a story. )

You gave it about an hour...scratch that, 15 minutes. Even though the PSP threads are more active these days, they're not that crazy. Plus it's a beautiful day at least where I'm living so people are probably out enjoying that. Otherwise, they're probably on the other side of the world asleep. Give these things time.

Sorry if I seemed impatient...Well, I am. I've got nothing to do but stare at a computer screen while thinking of ways to replace grappling hooks without making the level look crappy.2011-06-24 21:16:00

Play some levels instead of staring, I'm sure that there's alot in the level showcase that you haven't played yet.
Or you just don't like giving feedback.
