Should I finish my series?
Archive: 16 posts
My first successful level started a level series (unbeknownst to me). This, unfortunately, has yet to be concluded, because of LBP2. Even though LBP2 has broken my creation pattern, I am still wondering making one last level to wrap things up. There is one major problem, my levels only get 100 plays each (last time I checked, I haven't booted the game up for a while, but I digress.) so it is providing little (if not subtracting) confidence for me. So, to simplify things, should I finish my Wanderer Trilogy? (for those wondering what I am referring to, please turn your eyes to my sig.) | 2011-04-06 03:38:00 Author: Silver39 Posts: 1703 |
Don't sweat the number of plays. The real question here is "do you want to finish this?" It seems like you do, in which case go for it. | 2011-04-06 13:03:00 Author: BlackWolfe Posts: 299 |
I always start series and then a lot of the time I finish them short because of plays, Usually about 30 each. But I always feel that I did the wrong thing because nobody will ever know the end. | 2011-04-06 13:10:00 Author: craigmond Posts: 2426 |
In a short answer...HELL YEAH!!! | 2011-04-06 13:45:00 Author: Hellobob5 Posts: 382 |
Follow your own feeling. If you had a lot of fun creating the first part of the series and you still enjoy to create, Go For It! If you aren't called to create again, don't start on it because then it will not turn out as you really wanted. Deciding always is hard but most of time, it turns out pretty well. | 2011-04-06 17:06:00 Author: yoda97yoda Posts: 121 |
In a short answer...HELL YEAH!!! How the h*** did you get that past the censor? But yeah, thanks for the replies guys. Time to get to work. | 2011-04-06 22:25:00 Author: Silver39 Posts: 1703 |
I think it depends on what you want to do-if you would want to finish it, then go for it! Don't let stats and reputation get in the way of having fun. That being said, I really wish there was a way that good levels could stand out. Your levels are excellent in my opinion and it's really sad to hear that they only have 100 plays while less deserving levels get so many more. I specifically remember your clocktower level as my favorite of the 12 DOC. I even feel guilty that my level has 400 plays or something because I know there are creators that are out there who have much better levels than mine and far fewer plays. But I really don't see what there is to do about it. | 2011-04-06 22:29:00 Author: metsfan1025 Posts: 181 |

You definitely should continue creating I think you'll find it a lot of fun again. | 2011-04-06 22:30:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Ummm how do I say this.... YES YOU SHOULD!!! lol. I the first two installments of the series. You may not get as many plays as your previous ones, but I'll be playing it for sure... If that makes you feel better Also, you should because the spotlight team needs some material | 2011-04-14 01:43:00 Author: anoken Posts: 1654 |
Also, you should because the spotlight team needs some material Did they ever see my "PSP Mario 2010"? Keep creating for sure man I still am! | 2011-04-14 02:04:00 Author: WoodburyRaider Posts: 1651 |
Make it on LBP2! My PSP cant connect with the server soI wont be able to play it on PSP either way. For 100 plays I probably wouldn't make it though. | 2011-04-15 23:30:00 Author: Ricky-III Posts: 732 |
If you think about it, 100 plays isn't really that little of an amount. That's more than I ever got on the PS3 (Not that my level deserved it). I'm actually having the same dilemma as you though. My advice, if you like the create mode in LBP 2, let your series die out. Make something new and original, or the final chapter, on LBP2. | 2011-04-16 07:15:00 Author: Fading-Dream Posts: 164 |
