Falldown

Archive: 7 posts

Finally done with my first LBP 2 minigame. It not 100% flawless, but playable for sure. Falldown is a game where you want to keep youre ball at the bottom of the screen at all time, while the stage spams walls to push you up.You have 3 types of powerups and you steer with youre sixaxis.

Heres a pic from my main screen, and a little clip ingame (sorry for the quality) . Enjoy!

Hey, that was pretty clever. I liked this. While I enjoyed the 8 bit vibe you had going, I'd consider adding some kind of a background and a border, maybe, something to spice it up a bit. But good use of the sixaxis and a great job of finding something that is fun while still being simple.2011-04-06 05:19:00

Very cool idea dude, simple and vey effective. I would love to see you add stuff like a score multiplier if you fall through a few slots without touching any ground, and maybe moving slots. I really liked it, keep up the good work!

If you get a free second, check out my little big planet adaptation of the classic tank shooter, Scorched Earth. https://lbpcentral.lbp-hub.com/index.php?t=54300-Scorched-Earth-Little-Big-Planet-Style

Thanks,

Cam

True that, I should have some stuff on the black borders on the sides, Teris style! But I suck at one of the most important part, the graphical part. But I guess it shouldn't be to hard to make some kind of 8-bit stuff

One thing I added but had to remove, was multilayer support. The thing that took the longest time to implement, and ended up being the hardest thing to fix, as I did it all backwards But as every newbie I probably made allot of unnecessary work to make a simple thing. But there isn't anything more exiting than make a really complex chip.
If anyone interested of any fuction of the stage, I could upload a pic of some of the chips.

Thanks allot for the great feedback guys! I will try you're stage out cammo_1234 and give you some feedback =)

Thanks again!

Yeah I know, the steering was ALOT better in the app, but I never got any good idea how to make it saggyish like a hackysack
