import sequencer songs to music devices.

title basicly says all. the ability to import a sequencer to a playstation 3 drive and importing them to your mp3/ipod would be pretty sweet.2011-03-31 00:05:00

That would be nice, though there is a work-around: Plug your PS3's audio cables into your computer's line-in jack, and use Audacity or something similar to record your song. I'm kind of hoping for the opposite... I want to import my own music into the game. Unfortunately, copyright issues restrict that from happening. =/2011-04-03 10:40:00

You could technically do it if you managed to get a video of the song you want onto youtube, then using one of those "YouTube2MP3" sites, convert the video into an audio file.

That's how i'd do it.

I can think of several reasons why MM won't implement this. If you've got a PC near your PS3, Spikehead's solution is the best way imho, that way you still can choose at what rate you will compress it.

It should be made easier than spikehead's solution. Firstly not everyone has a nearby computer, especcially during these economic times.2011-04-03 16:40:00

Well, if you already have a video (with audio) of your song on your computer, you wouldn't need to upload it to YouTube. There's plenty of software out there that can ungroup a video's audio track from the video.

Though the method I posted above solves the issue of exporting music sequencer songs from the PS3, it still has to be processed into an analog form. Unfortunately, this transformation introduces unwanted background noise into the signal. I would much prefer lossless compression into a digital format, like .flac or .wav.

Still, I'd love to see a function for importing your own assets into LBP2. Then I could use some of my own works such as this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wo9OnzNZmA). Unfortunately, recreating things in LBP2 is tedious and it loses its quality and charm.

If you could import it to your computer, you would have to convert the file from .sequencer to .mp3. Once this happens, people will be putting their LBP2 Music Sequencer songs on iTunes! They might even put someone else's MASTERPIECE on iTunes making it seem like his/her own and he/she would gain the profit of whoever actually made the MASTERPIECE whether it was a he or a she! The world will turn into shambles!2011-04-07 04:30:00

Why not encode music on PS3, it's possible to do that and audio alone is not audio+video also it dont need to be done real-time sequencer format is useless outside LBP, so i dont see point of exporting it in pure form

I wouldn't say it's useless. Having the song outside LBP in a not compressed format gives the option to process it further, I know i would thrown some saturators, quality reverbs, equalizers and a limiter at it if i had the chance

It would be useless because non of the music software would able to read it. So it would be a midi or some tracker format
