3D Layers!

Archive: 5 posts

I want to create a level using the 3d tool, but whenever I put background 3d it either deletes itself or floats upwards when I unpause. I think Mm should make 4 additional layers, 2 to the foreground and 2 to the background. I know Littlebigplanet is supposed to be a sidescrolling platformer game, but now it's Littlebigplanet 2! I want to be able to make an airplane with long wings, that can still have clouds behind it, and actually have distance between the wing and clouds! I want to make a battleship that's big! I know a lot of people complain that making more layers would make it hard to locate the normal layers for sackboy to stand on, but they would probably make sackboy able to stand on all layers if they did this(not including thin layers!)! Mm, if you are reading this, please respond! BTW can you address a company as a person?2011-03-30 22:19:00

This suggestion pops up more frequently than "Need's more cowbell."

I don't think they ever have used the extra layers, they are just good at creating the illusion of linear perspective.

Mm have never used the 3d layer glitch, although they do incourage and enjoy the use of it in the community levels.
watch comphermc's tutorial on parralax scrolling if you want to find out how to do the effect that they used in Victorias train level and the Marvel pack.
