About sharing DLC...?

| This is an old question I've Googled plenty, but am still uncertain. Background: I have an international family (American, living in Japan). My PSN account, and all DLC, is US-based. My son's PSN account is Japan-based. Both accounts were registered on the same PS3 so we currently enjoy the benefits of shared DLC for LittleBigPlanet 1 and 2. However, the PS3 continues to give us problems and we need to buy a new one... Question: If I buy a new PS3 and recover the DLC with my US-based account, will my son on his Japan-based account (now once removed from the original PS3) still have access to it?
