How to make a selector that rescponds to Sackboys Emotions

Firstly place a 5x5 thin layer of holographic set to 0 brightness. In the bottom middle of this block place a microchip.
Open the chips circuitboard and on it place- a controllinator set to reciever of nearest player, a follower (speed-100, strenght-100, min radius-0.0, max radius 50.0), 2 selectors( make 2 selectors with 3 ports on each) and 2 Combiners and 2
Splitters.

---Connecting it up----

Start by opening the controllinator and connect up the D-pad up/down tab to the input on the SPLITTER.
From here connect up the positive output on the Splitter to the Negative input on the Combiner, and the Negative output on the splitter to the positive iinput on the conbiner. now connect up the output on the Combiner to the cycle input tab on one of the SELECTORS. Now. tweak this selector and make the initially selected port, port 2. Thats is the up and down d-pad set up. Now, on the selector, wire port ones output to anything you like that will be an effect of being happy, port 2 to nothing (this will be a neutral state, so does nothing, and wire port 3s output to something that will reflect being sad.

Secondly, wire up the second SPLITTER, COMBINER and SELECTOR in the same way, However, instead of wiring up/down on the d-pad up to the spltter, to the new splitter, wire the left/right d-pad output. On the second selector made port ones output something that represents a scared action, port 2-nothing and port 3, an angry action.

--HOW IT WORKS--
As the controllinator recives the signal from the nearest player, it will map the players actions and controls.
The follower makes the controllinator stay with the player. So if your in play mode and you push up on the d-pad you make his emotions change visually, making him happy. At the same time the controlinator is activating the selector to display the output on port one of the up/down selector (showing whatever you want to happen as a happy state.
Because the selector is initially set at 2 when the player pushes up on the d-pad, the selector goes up to port one, pressing down makes it display port 2- neutral, port 3- sad.
Likewise, left and right controls port 1-afraid, 2-neutral, 3-angry on the d-pad.
Using this method, you can match the visual emotions to a controllinator function :-)

Weeeell....

Thing is, the selector will keep cycling if you keep pressing numerous times in one direction, so that means that if you keep pressing up, it will eventually cycle through all the mood settings.

EDIT: BUT, to fix it.. Build a circuit breaker. Here's how:

Between the Direction Splitter and Combiner, place two microchips.
Pick up the wire from the negative input on the combiner and place it on the first microchip, creating a node.
Then wire the node(just like picking up a wire from any logic output) to the negative input again.
The wire shall now run across the microchip circuitboard, connected by the node.

Do this with the positive input as well, but on the second microchip.

Wire selector output #1 to the input of the microchip going to the negative combiner input, and selector output #3 to the other microchip.

This will block any further signals in the same direction after pressing it once.

well... yes and yes
its really an illusion as sackboys expressions pressing the d-pad change through 3 happy, 3 sad, 3 afraid, 3 angry and 1 neutral, which happen anyway by pushing the buttons-
however at the same time, the controlinator is selecting a different post on the selector that you can wire up to an action (eg. when sackby does his happy face by pushing the d-dad up- at the same time the controlinator is selecting a port in the selector that you could set up your own event to happen (maybe th could get sunnier or something- maybe a sackbot could be in front of you and when you do an angry expression he could run away.
