I suggested a while back about Tapatalk, and it got shot down. I am not here to whine about it, but at the time, it was suggested that there was already in place a mobile version of the site. This, however, was not true. Still isn't. I am just wondering, in this increasingly high-tech and mobile-centric world, why those of us that want to check out the site when we can't sit down at a computer, have to view the full site on our mobile devices. I have to pinch-zoom twice to be able to log in. Then it takes forever to load, and I have to do it again to click a link and actually see anything. Once again, I suggest Tapatalk (http://www.tapatalk.com). Please do SOMETHING. Even if not Tapatalk. I am a member at everypony.com and they did it at my suggestion. It took about 5 minutes and works flawlessly. EDIT : Of course they also don't have as many features as this site.

I've used Tapatalk before on another forum, and, in my personal opinion as a site administrator, it did not offer enough customization. The situation might have changed since I last used it, but at the time I found I felt like I was sacrificing control for aesthetics and functionality. Speaking of functionality, our site is heavily modified. It definitely wouldn't support everything we've added over the years, so we'd eventually hear complaints about that as well. The only real answer would be to design a mobile skin from scratch that supports all the things you'd expect, but we don't have the money or manpower to get that done at the moment. It's something I'd really like to do though! :/

Thanks, I'd never really gotten a full answer on it before. Too bad. And you're right. It doesn't have enough options to be of use here, it was just a suggestion until a full mobile site was made. Maybe start asking around the forum to see if somebody would like to make the mobile version, offering them something. I don't know what, besides money, of course, but still. Maybe post it as a job offer for an experienced mobile app programmer or something? I'm sure that looking here first would be the best route, since the active membership here are the biggest fans of the site (and might be willing to do it for cheaper). I don't know, but it might be worth looking into. And like I said, Tapatalk as a stopgap would be nice too.

I don't really mind it but thats probably because i have my iPad with me a lot of the time but I don't find the iPhone internet browsing experience too bad
