two players - how to keep profiles

| Me and my wife would like to play through the story together. We played one day and made some progress. We tried to play again today and the only profile I could select for her was guest. All customizations are gone. The ps3 has 2 profiles on it(external to the game). When starting lbp, the only profile it shows when prompting for second controller is guest.
