This was mad with 100% logic and a display of holograms and neon squares, this took a few days to make, alot of effort and patience. check it out and enjoy it, im working on a lower memory version so that the grid can be bigger but for now we have it at a 10x16 size, my plan was to do a 20x30 size :/ ENJOY

Wow.... I can't believe someone made this game. I have great memories of playing "Snake Hustle" in the mid 70's on the first model Trs-80 Model 1 Level 1. It was quite possibly the first video game I ever played. Seeing the video brought back memories.

Queued up!

I played this last night - wow, it really works well. This is one of those timeless classics I never really get tired of.

I do have a suggestion - yes, it's fine with the 100% blocky retro graphics..... but I think it would be MUCH better if it had some cool neon graphics outlining things, a different shape for the target, and some special effects and a few more sounds. There was even a version on the Atari home computers back in the early 80's that had upgraded graphics.

Regardless, great job!

right now the main problem is creating a lower memory version but keeping in the tradition of all programming, the logic thats killn the thermo is the counters, the size limit i put to save space was i think 20 pieces long, so for my method thats 20 counters, in one square. considering its a 10x16 thats 160 squares, that times 20 is 3,200 counters..... talk about alot XD
so basically i have more than 5,000 pieces of logic in that entire level, (not that i hand placed every single thing no thats crazy, i just duplicated each square with its logic attached then conected the two selectors plus the randomizer to all 160 squares, so 480 connections were done there so about 600 connections through out the whole level i actually did) I consider myself pretty good with logic, i can do this with a grid mover and about 5 emitters and very little logic, but i chose not to because i wanted to write the code all the way through as a personal challenge but thanks for the input!
