Hello,

I am in the process of making a clone of Super Mario Kart battle mode. I need help. I created a kart that picks up items and shoots them. I then copied the kart so there are two players. The first kart works fine. The copied kart will not pick up items. The item boxes will acknowledge that the vehicle has driven over it but that is it.

Thanks for the help. If you want to work with me on this, I would be quite happy. And if you require feedback on your creativeness then just add the lbp.me link to your comment.

I think you need to provide more information if you hope to get any useful help here. How are your items picked up by the cart? Do they obey a follower? Do they disappear and get credited to the driver as a powerup that can fire?

My guess is that since you copied the cart, both carts are using the same tags, and the item cannot distinguish which cart "got" the item. Again, without knowing your implementation, I can't do more than speculate.

Sorry I'll make it a bit clearer...

Basically, the kart and item box have impact sensors (set to "include touching") using the same tag colour. When the kart touches the item box it tells the item box that it does not have a weapon. The item box then disables itself temporarily and tells the kart to choose a random weapon. That works fine with the first kart but the the copy does not get the message to choose a random weapon.

Instead of the level I have included the innards of my two circuit-boards.

I hope that helps
