Pick Up items like the Bee (sort of)

I created a cool little controlinator spaceship and I'm trying to find a way that when I hover over items I can grab them, preferably without touching them, and drop them elsewhere... If I have to touch the items with my spaceship that's okay I guess, but I'm looking for a way to do it so it looks like this beam of light I have when I press R1 is grabbing it... You could glue a piece of invisible holo to your ship and have that change to sticky with a material tweaker when the collide (perhaps with a timer in between). Point is to not have that holo touch anything else during that process or you ship will get stuck; adjust size and shape to that. Or you can use material changers and a tag sensor. Connect the tag sensor output and the R1 button output to an AND gate, and then connect that to the material changer. However, thinking about it, it might stick the object to the level (if it is placed on the ground). You could put a "follow sensor" on the object (in the tweak options, set to "follow tag"), instead of material changer. Then allign them in such a way so that it looks like the object is being carried. Hope this helps...
