-Corruption Advice-(*IMPORTANT*)

Archive: 9 posts

Hey fellow Creators! I see nowadays you are having technical problems with LittleBigPlanet on your PsPs. Well search no further I have some "REAL" answers to your troubles. You see your tech problems are cuased by the Downloadable content available on the PSN in the PsP XMB menu. The biggest corruption bug lies within the Turbo! level pack. This is very discouraging as we all know the Turbo! level pack is the best DLC pack out there currently(*NOTE: The LBP-PsP updates do not contain bugs, they are safe to download*). If you are currently experencing these bugs *DO NOT PANIC* simply quit LBP to your XMB menu and refer to the save data icon located under "game" its the last icon at the bottom. select it and delete your LBP DLC. If this does not work consider backing up your data, if this step is necissary to you, please refer to Taffey's instruction for data back up! THIS WILL SAVE YOU!!! It will not be deleted permanetly, just refer back to your PSN download list via my account under the PSN icon on your XMB menu. If you want, re-install your LBP-PsP DLC. (If you want)2011-03-26 02:26:00

I believe there are plenty of threads out there like this and this has been known for awhile. Thanks for going into specifics but I think you should maybe change the title of the thread to "Turbo Pack Corruption Advice" or something like that. 2011-03-26 14:49:00

Turbo! isn't the sole reason for this. I have no DLC at all, and still experience this problem.2011-03-27 14:56:00

Well that's because there are different issues with the game. I also have no DLC and have experienced corrupted levels (when you can't enter edit or play mode) and corrupted profiles. I've heard that Turbo! just increases the chances of these issues highly.

I have had the Turbo pack for a while and I had no problems, I have also tried playing about with level creation and that caused me no problems. The only time I had trouble was when I downloaded a user create level a few weeks ago.
I now have my story mode and turbo pack prgression back and my "My Moon" level attempts, but I lost all the user levels I have downloaded. That is not a problem as I tend to play levels sync my score ratings and them delete them. I will just have to download the last batch I selected.

FYI, there is a great tutorial for making backup copies of your My Moon in this forum. Not having a USB cord at the moment (broke until payday, too), I've been doing things a bit differently, making a backup of the level on My Moon itself. It was working fine, until I made a backup of a corrupted level, overwriting a non-corrupted backup. So yeah, if you choose to go that route, test your level, then back it up.2011-03-30 11:00:00

Yes Taffey's instructions are mentioned in the original post. I had to use a game save from the internet because I had not backed up my profile on my PC. You could probably use it too, just replace the corrupt levels with blank ones from the zip file.
