Jesus bought me Chinese dinner
Archive: 12 posts
Seriously... Macnme starting the heaven is real thread made me remember something that happened about ten years ago. Some friends and I were out to Chinese one evening. We were all fairly young (early 20's late teens). We were dressed like the unconventional bunch we were, but nothing really shocking or too disheveled. Anyway we go to pay the bill and our waitress says "It has already been payed for by someone, and they said to give you this" and handed me a note. I open the note it it just said "Just wanted to show you the love of Christ" So, after we had a laugh at that I realized... "Wow, Jesus just bought me Chinese dinner" | 2011-03-23 19:09:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |

Careful, first it's dinner, next he's waiting outside your house with a bag full of your toenail clippings. Let him down gently, tell him you dont swing that way. | 2011-03-23 19:50:00 Author: Mr_T-Shirt Posts: 1477 |

I will give this stranger compliments for finding a rather passionate way to try to convert people/remind them while also doing a good deed | 2011-03-23 21:52:00 Author: moonwire Posts: 1627 |
I will give this stranger compliments for finding a rather passionate way to try to convert people/remind them while also doing a good deed On the flip side I might have just wanted to pay for my dinner and forgo the religious conversion attempt for dessert. I am all for believing or not believing, whatever people want for themselves is great. I can also see how keeping all that to yourselves could be the most non-confrontation way to handle those things | 2011-03-23 22:01:00 Author: EinRobot Posts: 739 |

We don't have any rules pertaining specifically to religion or the discussion of it. You are free to express opinions on the subject so long as you remain respectful to the other members. Questioning others' beliefs or stating an opinion about those beliefs is acceptable, but, as I said, keep it respectful. This thread is nothing of the sort. | 2011-03-23 23:13:00 Author: Sehven Posts: 2188 |
