music sequencer

Archive: 5 posts

I'm trying to play with the music sequencer, and have hit a small snag.

You know when you select how many volume sliders there are? Is there anyway to change the layout of those on the sequencer itself.

I would like to have it so the first slider controls the top row of percussion, then the next slider controls two instruments on there. Then the third slider controls 1. It would make my grouping loads easier.

You mean placing a song object thinger into a sequencer? Or actual instruments in an actual music sequencer?2011-03-23 13:45:00

It already does that. Just grab your separate music pieces and move them into which ever track sub-section you want them in. Only problem is it limits you to something like 3 tracks max. per volume slider.2011-03-23 14:46:00

If you're referring to the horizontal lines which delimit the different 'channels', their positions are based solely on the number of channels, and the height of the sequencer's 'circuit board'.

Your parts don't have to be vertically contiguous, so is there some other reason you can't position the parts in the correct channels?

ahhh...ok, I just wasn't making the board tall enough. It has to be at least twice as tall as your number of tracks. i had four volume settings and was just seeing the bottom track expanding as i enlarged it, but once i was eight tall they all doubled.2011-03-23 20:44:00
