Does anyone know how to do this?

Archive: 2 posts

Ive recently created a spaceship there two different projectiles it can fire. For one of them I want to be able to only emit three separate times. I know how to set it to only fire three time, but I cant figure out how to "reset" that projectile's emitter. Also, just to add some flare, Ive added three holo icons below my ships health bar, to represent an "ammunition indicator" How can you make one of these icons turn off when one projectile is fired and so on and how to reset them when a "refill station" hits the vehicles hit box?

(Pictures may be added to better explain this)

Set the projectile emitter input type to "One-Shot". Have the trigger signal also lead to a counter set to Max=3, with the output of this counter feeding into a NOT gate and that output feeding into an AND gate that is also fed by the original trigger signal, and finally that signal goes to the emitter. So as long as the counter is not full, the trigger will still emit another projectile. Then all you have to do to reset is wire your reset logic into the RESET input of the counter.

As for the icons, there are several ways to go about this, but probably the best/easiest is a Sequencer set to Positional input. Make it three stripes wide and have three batteries on it, each one a full stripe wider than the next, and wired to the holo icons. Feed the output from your shot counter into the input of the Sequencer, and it will trigger/dim each light as the counter progresses (this is a difficult one to explain if you've never seen the Sequencer's positional setting in use and/or never seen overlapping batteries used on a sequencer, but it's a very effective technique that's worth learning).

I hope this helps!
