| I found this blog article (http://www.wonderlandblog.com/wonderland/2011/03/raphs-40-social-mechanics-for-social-games.html) while stumbling through some gaming blog recommendations. She compiled the list during a presentation by a game designed named Raph (not Ralph) Koster at GDC 2011. Now keep in mind this list is geared towards social multiplayer games (a la Facebook, etc.), but can certainly apply to any level or game concept you'd like to explore in LBP. You might have to wait all of 10 seconds  I'm not reading the full list though, you should be able to infer most of what is important from the blog summary... And while on the surface of it a lot of things aren't relevant to LBP, a large chunk of it is, especially in competitive-type games. Edit - actually, it doesn't seem like there is much extra in the actual document... Just some pictures to make the slides prettier...
