Well, i have this sort of pet project in the making. I have the basic pet script set up ( you can actually play the sort of concept at my Bubzy core beta level) but right now im gonna start making the worlds. basicly, at first there will be a tutorial movie on how to control your pet with a scientist telling you what to do and how to control your pet, the basic needs of your pet, dungeons, and Cafe/parlours. To control your pet, holding R2 and moving with the right joystick will make it move. pressing triangle will toggle the follower, but you cant make it move with it on. pressing circle with it on will make him cycle through the layers. L2 will make him do tricks. I dont have too much tricks now, but each pets will have a special trick Example: A kind of monkey might be able to do something, well, monkeylike. Your pet sports a hunger meter and a health bar. the health bar is red. hunger is purple. your pet has about like, 500 seconds before it starves. feeding it will reset the bar. if the hunger bar is full, health starts to lower. there might be a special kind of food to restore his health. Theres a store and a point currency system. each 1000 points, you get a sticker wich will let you redeem 1000 points for each of them. there would be a 1000 :1 sticker, and a 1000 :2 sticker, each earning you one thousand. sort of confusing, but lets move on to the stores. stores let you sell stuff. you can only buy stuff in cafe/parlour/arcades. when you carry a sellable item, or your pet does, press X and circle and you will sell it. WARNING! DONT SELL SOMETHING ATTACHED TO YOUR PET! MAKE THEM DROP IT FIRST. or else, you will have to restore him/her at a restoration center. Parlours/cafes/arcades are Topdown mini levels where you can buy items, wander around, or play various games for points. that parts that simple. really simple-ish project with not too much logic, but lots of sort of thinking in it with the saving thing.
