Little big planet is famous in your country?

Archive: 24 posts

i did a themed room, in a anime convention, here in Brazil, but, i found out, most of people, dont even know little big planet, so, few people play little big planet, even less create something on it, so is hard to find someone around here who wants to take a project with you! (so, my room basically was a failure)
them, a question come to me, did you guys find lots of people who plays little big planet in your country?

Yeah, nobody here knows "Pequeno Grande Planeta"

However, when I invited two friends to my home and we played LBP2, they thought it was funny as hell! VICTORY!

Out of all my friends, only 1 understands how awesome LBP is, but he doesn't have it or play it. He has said seeing some of the thing's I've showed him make him want to pick up a copy. Overall though, most of the people on my friends list who play LBP are from the UK. I feel like Europe has the biggest community of LBP enthusiasts.2011-03-22 04:55:00

my "offline" friends dont play Little Big Planet, because most of them dont even have a playstation 3 (most of them own a X360) but, they all without a exception, likes Little Big Planet, or they lyng to me (must be the best liers of all if thats the case) but in making levels, they really not interested at all...2011-03-22 19:30:00

i would say since Mm are from england we are famous for lbp, but its not particular famous as a game. i think most people would look at sackboys cuddly appearance, and the 7+ rating and just assume it is a childs game. i know that this is what i thought until my brother forced me into create mode, and now i dont play anything else!2011-03-22 22:02:00

true!
i agree
this is really awfull, because most of people think this is a "child only game" this is so wrong, i think they should call it "child too game" because its cool for kids, and can be cool for grown ups too, im 23, and i love it! childs about 7, cant do those complex levels we see around!

sadly all my IRL friends think that LBP is really uncool, although one time i did show my friend some stuff in LBP1 create mode and he agreed that the creating possibilities were pretty cool.

i think in order for people to see how great LBP2 is we have to show off the stuff that makes it that much better than LBP1, and to make it clear that it is for all ages whilst still being friendly.

I'm doing a computer games art course at Uni, and even all my friends there don't play it. Most of them do know what it is, but you'd think that considering we all want to make games for a living, they'd have a bit of interest in it. I've tried getting them all to play it but... it hasn't worked.

Although a few weeks ago I overheard some people talking about how great LBP2 was, which was pretty cool. Okay, so they were also on my course but in the year below, but it is nice hearing random people talking about it. I was considering going up to them saying "Hi I'm Nuclearfish" but before I had made up my mind if that would be stupid or look weird they'd gone.

All my buds play Online shooter games but then again I met them all playing SOCOM. My personal life friends also play online shooters. Both sets of friends won't touch lbp. They gave up on me about a year ago. We are all from the us. Mostly west coast (California). My lbp buds seem more patient, more educated, more creative, cuss less more laid-back then my shooter buds. Go figure

Btw nuke,
Every once in awhile I'll see an lbp game at one of my Directv customers house. 4 out of 5 of them never played it online but they say they love it. The one out five can't believe I'm CENTURION24. Lol it's pretty cool.

Lbp2 is not very famous in the US most people play cod or some shooting game. OR they play cod or some shooting game on Xbox... And then say LBP2 is "***" and for 5 year olds... After that they go on complaining that there are annoying 5 years old playing cod with them on xBox, I've rarely ever come across an annoying 5 year with a mic on LBP.... America Sucks.....

I know 3 people IRL that play lbp but most of them don't play a lot.

I think it was the initial misconception that LBP was purely a child's game that stopped many more serious gamers from even looking at it.

Personally, I heard about LBP from a friend who was constantly trying out random games. I usually put little faith in his suggestions, but after watching a vid from somewhere about being able to create your own little vehicles and things, I was hooked. Got the game on day one.

So far I've managed to convince all my other friends to get it, but they rarely ever create. Mostly they just wait for me to produce something they can break fool around with.

Have to agree that North America is far too violent. Just today, walking home from school, heard a group of what seemed like 12 year olds bragging about their Black Ops loadouts.........

I can't say I wasn't a large FPS player though. I was number one in my school until MAG came out. Never touched CoD since.

It's great that 'Reviews on the Run' and G4 Tech TV in general is doing a good job of showcasing their favourite LBP2 levels.

interesting, i thought up in North america, even games like LBP got more respect or something, but it seens like its not the case, well, here in Brazil 80% of people think games (overall) is for childs, them, the ones who think games is not for childs only, about 80% of this amount, think LBP is for childs, so, looking on the big picture, something close to 96% of people in Brazil , thinks, LBP is olny for child, everyone who plays it, is a moron...
thats really unfair...
going more deeply, the rest 4%, only lets say 20% of this amount plays Little Big Planet, them, 15% of people who plays LBP, create levels or something else... so... looking in the big picture, is scary!

lol you seem to know lots about the gaming demographics of brazil there

i think lots of people will xome around to lbp now that 2 has been released, since there are lots more possibbilities for game types, genres, etc and now it is even easier to create whatever you want
