Sackbot emition dash , spammin kids!!!!

Archive: 4 posts

OK so my problem i cant fix is this.
I have a teleporting sackbot. But it dosnt teleprt, i just have it emmit from an emmiter and the old one is destroyed .
sorta think of it as a ninja dash type thing.

Problem is iff ya spam the button ya can teleport right across the map or up in the sky. And lets face it, thats what kids'll do if they can so i need to make it limited. or at least non-spammable.

Any ideas are welcome here because im fresh out on my end.
Cheers guys

Have you tried using a controlinator based teleport system?2011-03-21 13:21:00

If I understand correctly, the new sackbot spawns, and then you can press the button again instantly and that new sackbot will trigger another one to spawn etc.
This means you want to stop newly-spawned sackbots from using the dash power. So put a timer on the sackbot you want to emit, with no input so it goes straight away. Then connect an AND gate to the timer and the button that you use to dash. Then connect the AND gate to your dash logic. This will mean any newly-spawned sackbot will have to wait for the timer to finish before he can dash.

LOL!! Thor i love you!! Dude that works a treat. HAH i was messn 'round with timers and counters yesterday but it never occured to me to not have any input on the timer, i had timer/timers hooked up about every which way ya can in the dash logic and that didnt even cross my mind.
Ahhh the mighty Thor, Thank-you.

Thanks for the reply also Ungreth, yeah i did think of that but i wanna keep the logic to the minimum as much i can here as the sakbot overall has UBER logic on him as it is, im actualy in the process of trying to streamline him.
