Picture Perfect

How can I get a picture perfect cover for a creation. I see many great levels with fantastic covers for they're creation but whenever I try to make one and take a picture with it, the cover looks too faded or zooms in way too close to the picture I have taken. How can I take a picture perfect shot that will appear pleaseantly in the cover of my creation and do you have any pointers on what should I put on the cover to make it more pleasing to the eye or the viewers. Thank you.2011-03-21 02:42:00

Ok, basicly your gonna want to use only stickers for the design. You want to place each sticker on a new layer and using front view to capture the photo. You should only ever use stickers and always use front view. For lighting you can change the background to something more suitable, but i recommend the basic on as it's clear and fine as it is. You will need to take hundreds of pictures to finally get the one your looking for, each at different zooms and angles. It's just practice as i've learn't. You'll get there soon.2011-03-21 11:58:00

I think you can also use Basic Glass or PotC Old Glass to highten the contrast of your images. The effect is not as pronounced in LBP2 as in the first game, but there should still be a bit of a gain in some situations I reckon.

Basically you take a the photo you want to use as the level badge, place it on a matching rectangular piece of glass. Then you simply take a new photo of the piece of glass with the sticker on it, and use this photo for your badge.

You can also tweak the day/night-, brightness- and fog-settings before you take the final photo, to achieve the best possible result.
