Padpop

Here is my latest level, its a one player survival level based on the old Atari 'Circus' game.

You have one life in which to bounce on the moving pads and burst balloons, the higher the balloon, the more its worth. a bonus balloon appears at the top every 5000 points.

also as you play the platform you bouce off, gets smaller and smaller.
Hope you like it.

It's got a good level design for getting multiple replays.

Not sure when it's supposed to happen but there were times when balloons that I was nowhere near were popping and giving me points. The movement of the bounce pad platform seemed a little off, possibly due to big a change in the platform size. The level would work better if the platform shrinks more gradually.

Maybe you could use smaller bounce pads and use more of them?2011-03-19 00:49:00

I could do although I have not noticed the movement problem, seems smooth to me.
also about the ones that occasionally go off, I think thats because I use the explode setting on the destructors on the balloons and parts of them will sometimes touch other balloons causing them to go off, not sure how to fix that and I don't want to change the destruct effect as the others don't seem to fit a balloon 'popping'.

17hrs up and 1 person has played it.. I guess that was worth the 4 days work. lol I'll keep at it.

This was really cool, actually. Don't know how many times I played it, it was so addictive. For some constructive feedback, I think you should be able to see the bounce pads all the time. There's a small dead zone at the point when you move your eyes off the upper bar to the lower pads, which makes it a bit unreliable. And also, if you can not fix the balloons that pop all by themselves, make the scoreboard bigger. Try to find out why. Overall I really liked it and couldn't help giving it a heart. It really deserves more plays to beat up my high score! 2011-03-19 23:22:00

Thanks, I'll work on it more. I'm sure I can fix the camera problem although not sure about the popping balloons without changing the destruction settings on them which then doesn't look right at all.. shame theres no 'only destroy on player contact' option, rather than 'contact with anything'..including parts of exploding balloons.
